With luck may get a few indications of who was buying last week in the next few days Norton IMHO will probably find a buyer - good history which can be used by others. You really do not need to worry about £4M against such brand/assets - you would be surprised at how many £10M plus facility’s are available to companies you have never heard off with one factory and expensive production machines where the security is the assets. Also banks often go belt and braces - I have seen many large deals fall through because the directors would not provide personal security undertakings. GLA

A couple of decent posters elsewhere high lights that an American tech firm could be in the frame. That’s a new one one me - still digging - but did not realise that GS was in bed with Apple already by offering a physical credit card. So never say never.

Thanks for that Bigsmoke - been out all day today - but there are some interesting glimmers from the PDF of the GS presentation.

Patience is easy to say but harder to action - still looking forward to tomorrow’s news on how GS will take forward it’s UK growth strategy. GLA

Personally still yet to be convinced so waiting on the Sunday papers- however if you did have a JV announced you would certainly want to tell everyone about its virtues and have fresh capital to spend to do that on a wonderful marketing campaign.....

Marshall Wace increased by 0.04% to 1.12% on 21st Jan

So that’s approx - 69000 shares approx £140k increase

On 21jan - slightly over 1 million shares traded - Approx £2 million

So for every sell there is a buy or visa versa - who bought the rest of the £1 million
Big smoke recently reminded us how many smaller II and funds have positions in this stock below 3% - you have to watch carefully to catch them. All IMHO.

I personally don’t take much notice of the first hour IMHO - if we look back to the day of tue 14 Jan when the shorts increased in this low volume environment and 2.5 million shares where traded someone was obviously buying heavily - and most days since around 200k or so each day IMHO. Trying to keep a lid on it from running away as you rightly say there is no volume so if they came in heavy we would be at £3 in a blink. Only my thoughts. GLA

Good to see accumulation still going on- IMHO especially as the American market was closed and volume higher then Friday.

Good to see some volume return in the last 24 hours - had plenty of losses on stop outs last year with other shares but picked up Metro at a touch under 1.80. Expecting news soon. Bacal was my trigger to buy he will sort it either alone or partners- similar to his many other successful banking exploits. I expect He sees real value hear at this price like myself. GLA

It will be interesting to see who gets the nod for the 1.9 billion Sainsbury’s Bank’s mortgage book. These /other parties may then turn there focus on another opportunity.

I look forward to monday with interest on the new classification of stock - we will either continue to drift as before until news arrives of Nasdaq listing or perhaps tech funds will start to hoover up stock which of course will drive the share price depending on any significant sales due to the re classification the other way! It will no doubt be an interesting week either way. GLA

Week 5 down - next week is week six since application of Nasdaq listing announced - average applications 2-6 weeks We now have a date of 19th December of re-classification - how long do they need for road shows before listing? More news surely just around the corner - GLA
