Agreed, but.....

1. A serious investor will probably be more privy to things going on in the background than the wider market, which might make the company attractive, even in its accounting state.

2. Diamonds are worth nothing in accounting terms until sold, yes, but I think we all believe that they're going to get more than Boart value, yourself included. My point was entirely that they have been assigned no value in the accounts!

3. As you say, relationships are intangible. But we don't know the value of these and my point was purely that they can't be valued, either up or down.

Whilst I'd tend to agree with your point, I'm not sure that we can be sure that the company is in a distressed state.

The value of off balance sheet intangible relationships could be worth well in excess of the current debt and/ or market cap, meaning the company is way undervalued.

Of course, without an RNS or evidence of this, it is perfectly acceptable to assume the company is not in the greatest place financially. Remember also that the diamonds have not been assigned a value in the latest accounts, meaning those numbers are already out of date and potentially materially different to current conditions.

I believe, as does the purchaser of that share this morning! What's going on here, definitely something not entirely straight I'm going to suggest.

Ok, so those 'sells' at 12.18 are clearly not some PI selling such a small amount of shares. Just like the 1 buys yesterday are clearly not genuine trades. That begs the question what are they and what is going on?!

I agree that 'when is the AGM?' is a fair question.

But you only have to look at the date of the last AGM that they don't in fact have to adhere to the 31 October 25 deadline as it was held in December last year!

A balanced post would have been to state why it was held in December last year and that there are circumstances in which the 6 month deadline doesn't actually have to be adhered to.

As a result, it came across as a post from somebody not versed in company law or somebody deliberately posting half the facts, and if it was the latter, then it's scaremongering.

9 million is based on about 9k carats of gem quality stones being sold at in excess of 1k per carat.

9,000 x 1,000 is 9,000,000. Not the most complicated maths ever performed.

Amazing how the sp can be dropped so quickly on such sparse trading, yet yesterday it was pretty much blue all day on in excess of 150m trades and we went up just a tad. Is it being held down? Is that actually even possible?
