Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
If I was to release a new product in the 4th quarter I'd want it out early enough in that quarter to advertise it properly and spread the word to maximise the Christmas present sales. That's the best sales opportunity for most products.
It's not far off the 4th q. The share price will probably fall more before then but I'll try to stay positive.
So it's been a long day and we're not happy about the RNS, but I keep thinking about that £1.2m sales being a 'when not if' and there's literally no suggestion this is even possible looking at today's figures, so where did that come from and what was the time line for this? 2050?
It's usually a sign of strength to admit you have made a mistake and change direction, as in moving from D2C to B2B, but with these embarrassingly poor sales figures I don't think they had much choice. It was always a big ask to try and promote a brand new product with such a small team and budget, and to be fair they gave it a go.
At least *when* a tie-up with a multi-national happens axis will get a good shot and we will truly see what it's capable of, its still a brand new product that has had limited exposure. We will be getting a smaller cut of the profits, but hopefully from a very much larger market.
It will be interesting to see how quick they get this done, the fact that they're talking about it sounds like they've got more than a rough outline and there's no reason to delay.
Also I'm guessing this means all future products will be released this way.
Good points Clio and Elric, I suppose 'all publicity is good publicity', I'm just pointing out what I personally would improve, I'm guessing skin have had little to no input into the article .
From what I can remember it's virtually identical to the previous article, so at least they didn't cut us out this time round!
Elric that was a great article on sharescope btw! Pretty much everything anyone unfamiliar with the company needs to know.
It would have been nice to have a link to the axisbiotix web page or to even show the product/packaging - seeing as some of the other products got shown, kind of makes axis look 'less equal' to the others.
This is the second time we've been on Glamour and the second time we've missed this opportunity.
There is a new Instagram page 'axis.biotix' instead of 'axisbiotix'.
Does anyone know why they have done this?
It seems like a good way of losing a lot of followers (from roughly 390 to 55 currently) but there must be some reason behind it.
Toyin, I think the forecast figure can be misleading as you don't need that many subscribers to hit it. But I can also see why missing that figure has spooked people as they believed it should have been easy. Time will tell.
Aquae, The overwhelming majority of trust pilot reviews are from GB, I'm not sure if this is indicative of sales but I thought trust pilot was fairly popular in the States. Maybe more so for different kinds of goods/services.
Axis still has bags of potential, I just don't think it's had any real exposure yet. We are still only a few months in after all.
Good article and hopefully will bring this product to the attention of a lot more people. Glamour is quite popular (according to my other half!).
Disappointed that there was no link to the Axisbiotix page, also the product was not among the featured ones at the bottom of the page, seems like a decent opportunity missed. Maybe someone at skin hq can send them an email?
I agree Elrico, the quality and rate of posts are much improved. The competition to give away a 56 day supply is a great idea.
Bobbust - you have the right idea, everyone on this board can help axisbiotix grow through the power of social media, all it takes is to follow them and like and share the odd post. If you don't have Instagram or Twitter ask your girlfriend/wife/kids. The more people that see this the more the company grows!
BTW there are some really good results coming through on Instagram now (I'm not cool enough to use it myself but my girlfriend is).
