This community is as unique as Havieron - the collective skills on this board and telegram, podcasts, PHD presentations and so much more - not seen anything like it on any other investment - ever.

Here's some notes on NCM's use of tech from their general exploration mgr at Digegrs & Dealers in August OilMonkey :-)

*Improving their exploration capabilities
- Thinking outside the box by using machine learning to analyse historical public data of Australian wide geochemical data to identify and rank potential targets of bigger ore deposits. Also applying to other jurisdictions.
- Adopted use of two Truscan units at Red Chris (XRF instruments) as part of core logging process to photograph and scan cores to give real-time metal values at the time of drilling to enable real-time decision making in regards to drill planning and rig location.
- This is helping to circumvent issues being experienced through industry wide assay delays and turnarounds experienced over the past few months.
- Advantages include being able to ‘log smarter’, geo’s have the geochemistry to hand before starting and they’re also using machine learning to identify basic structures lithology to help focus their efforts and move away from metre by metre logging to speed up the process.
- Closes section by mentioning they’re doing a similar exercise or just starting that journey up at Haverion.

Glad you feel more optimistic comeonsres and hope safe etc. also more appeased going into 2022, I know it's been a long hard slog here for LTH's!
We're still going to have to be patient as things are unlikely to move at the speed we want on the negotiations but this update is detailed enough to warrant continuing to hold here IMO as our product is essential for the future of CRMCs, it is just a matter on when, not if I feel.
Will be interesting to learn more about the new prospects too in time and great advice by Rodster for Caddy, get that phone number to them for a chat! :-)

Just can't see how an offer for 5% or all of it could even be contemplated without factoring in the MRE2, 2022 Growth Drilling and Feasibility Study at a bare minimum mate.

These were my notes on Shaun's response to being asked about the FMV process during the Proactive Q&A on Nov 11th :-

*How will the FMV (Fair Market Value) price of the 5% option Newcrest holds be calculated, given that the option terminates by 12 December 2022 - before the full value of Hav can be determined?
- Should Newcrest choose to exercise that option it does bring funds into GGP, which has its advantages.
- In terms of the process there is a negotiation period, ultimately then at some point an independent expert is involved to settle the value between the parties.
- Likes to think that the relationship with Newcrest is such that we would both want to make an agreement without going into the details of the JV agreements and final determination’s and thinks the relationship is such that you would typically try to reach common ground.

This is footnote 8 on page 2 of Newcrest's market release in relation to the timeline:

8 Upon finalisation of the Study, Greatland Gold is obliged to fund 30% of all project expenditure going forward and Newcrest is obliged to fund 70%. This funding split will adjust to 25% Greatland Gold and 75% Newcrest if Newcrest exercises its option to acquire the additional 5% interest in the 12 months from 12 December 2021.

Deffo one of the pains is the frustration of the trading when holding these kind of stocks BB :-)
I remember seeing so many names in early 2020 who sold out way way before 10p on GGP and yep like UFO it has had a massive retrace (like many in the sector) but there were sub penny holders who missed out on the chance to slice/sell in the 30's instead who possibly through frustration took some big gambles elsewhere to make up for 'missing out' and lost those gains too I bet.
And with explorers as we know, you get these huge retraces even in bull markets which can then build back into new ATH's. The drama and excitement can be as addictive as sports betting so the one thing I try to do is stay level headed = not easy at times :-))
You guys have got to be kidding yourselves if you don't think we won't see some crazy swings still IMO - it's going to be a hell of a lot of fun I reckon - and that's just thinking about the Oz projects.

For me this was always a worthwhile binary investment where either I get a lovely pay-off for a very small investment or I don't but no biggie but do appreciate some people have been stuck here on capital loss for a while and feel for them :-)

Pathfinder provides an update on its dispute concerning mining concession 4623C (the "Licence"). The Company has significantly advanced its preparation to refer the dispute to the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes ("ICSID") under the Mozambique - United Kingdom Bilateral Investment Treaty (2004) (the "Treaty"). This preparatory work includes the development of a detailed budget and timeline for claimant costs, the identification of the Company's litigation team, and independent professional analysis of valuations for differing successful outcomes at an ICSID tribunal.

These elements have been compiled into a briefing pack for detailed review by institutional litigation funders who would fund the claim with fees payable only in the event of a successful outcome for the Company.

The pack has been developed by Travers Smith LLP, the Company's solicitors and draws on detailed valuation mechanisms from Versant Partners LLC ("Versant"). Whilst the detail behind the valuation remains legally privileged, the Versant analysis assesses a range of successful scenarios with valuation ranges from a minimum of US$110m for an ex-ante damages award through to US$1,500m for an ex-post damages award. The Versant valuation supports the US$621.3m of estimated losses, detailed in the Company's 12 April 2021 announcement, that has been notified to the Government of Mozambique. Whilst the Company is confident in its position, Shareholders should be aware that there is no guarantee that this, or any, amount will be recovered, should the Company refer the matter to the ICSID.

Peter Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Pathfinder, commented:

"A huge amount of work over recent months has gone into advancing our position with respect to a potential claim under the Treaty. With independent professional analysis supporting a range of high value award scenarios, and legal counsel attributing a favourable prospect of establishing liability on the part of the Government of Mozambique, a claim under the Treaty is now a very likely course of action. While this was never our preferred path, and we remain open to alternative solutions with the current Licence-holder, we believe we have strong prospects of recovering very significant monetary damages through this process.

In the meantime, we believe Pathfinder can pursue other opportunities in parallel to further our multi-project strategy. To this end we are looking at a range of mineral projects including graphite and lithium where we believe we can create value while advancing the litigation strategy."

*And the Feasibility Study also moving forward?
- The Feasibility Study is a particularly positive aspect to this, already flagged an initial base case for a 2 million ton per annum (MPTA) sub-level open stope operation (SLOS) in the Pre-Feasibility Study.
- This study is going to take that to 3 MPTA through the next round, so you’re already growing it by 50 percent.
- In addition to that if I take it back to the announcement, you’re seeing the continuity of the SE crescent. That is going to give us the opportunity to improve the resource upgrade information up to indicated and that brings more material into the mine plan.
- Then we’re seeing the intercepts beneath, this can grow substantially and people should have confidence that there is a 90,000m growth drilling campaign moving out to June 2022, there’s a lot of activity and opportunity to continue to grow Havieron.

*Heading into 2022, you’ve got 8 drill rigs spinning there, all eyes on the growth opportunity here?
- I think there’s a huge number of catalysts for value as we go into the start of 2022, we’ve got this big 90,000m of growth drilling, which always catches your attention a little bit more than infill.
- Looking at releasing a Sustainability Report which is increasingly important in the market.
- We have the JORC resource and reserve upgrade which is again a huge catalyst for shareholders.
- As people are aware, we’re also looking at the bank debt side of things, some really positive progress there, we’ve received a number of term sheets, some extremely strong term sheets which gives us a lot of positivity about that process.
- What the funding does is give us enough cash balance/working capital. Just like taking out a house or car loan, banks are not going to lend you 100% of the funds, so having that better working capital/cash balance makes it easier for the bank.

*Drilling update on Havieron, some more strong results and potential for an upgrade to the resource, give us an overview?
- Another stunning set of results, 22 intercepts all hitting mineralisation.
- Combination of growth and infill drilling.
- Infill drilling continued to go through that South East Crescent where continuity is extraordinarily strong and observed really long intercepts throughout the SE crescent, also seeing ore as we’re moving into the broader brecciated zone along large expanses.
- Reconfirms the mining and development of the SE Crescent but also starts to show the continuity in respect of developing the larger bulk mine, kind of tells you two positive stories there.
- In addition, intercepts going in over 250m below the existing SE crescent tell you that the SE crescent continues, it’s good grade ore, all going to be sitting on the existing infrastructure we’re going to be putting in, really talks to the growth story.

*Newcrest beginning to test some new targets now, including Havieron North?
- Yes, these are proximal targets sitting on the existing mining lease about 2km north and 1km to the west, separate magnetic and gravity anomalies.
- Really keen to test these, something we’ve wanted to do for the last 3 years, can’t wait to punch into those.
- Could be absolutely transformational, Havieron is already a ginormous ore body, but to have these opportunities in such close proximity is exciting.
- And there are some structures that we want to follow at length in terms of this regional exploration opportunity and that of course flows into our 100% owned Scallywag ground.
- Lots of opportunity here, going to see us invest in the drill bit and run these to ground, I think it’s exciting and with the capital raise lately we have the ability to pursue these.

*How are things on the construction front?
- The construction continues to progress well, will be working through the decline for the next couple of years, bring that onboard for late 2023 to reach the ore body itself. - Going through the Permian zone ahead of getting to that kind of country rock.
- As we continue to progress, you’re seeing vent rises coming in and the infrastructure around the decline starting to be generated as well, will continue to move that forward.

I do agree Dubs - marketing is a core part of my professional toolkit and with over 25 years of experience in literally every facet of marketing and comms I can wholeheartedly say that on both aspects SRES are terrible.
Investor relations is critical - especially in this sector and for an explorer soon to be proven as a developer/producer hopefully. I do understand the frustration, just suggesting that it may be worth us all collaborating and requesting an update collectively but I would like to wait until the results personally :-)
I do have to say - it has been a torrid year for the sector and that has played a part also here and other explorers I hold.

I'm waiting to see if we get a reasonable update with the Final Results, else will be contacting the company, I do think negotiations are ongoing (surely the company has obligation to inform us if otherwise) but you have to expect a very lengthy laborious process from my own experience of these matters.
They actually seem to be tweeting regularly these days - perhaps someone tweets for an update and a few likes from everyone here and polite (as oppose to rude) comments may work too, otherwise email the company is my advice - moaning and arguing amongst ourselves on boards never accomplished anything :-)
