The next general elections will be held any time before 30 June next year, but the timeline won’t go beyond the date, said Chief Adviser’s Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam on Sunday.

If that’s the best the bnp can present in today’s meeting they have rolled over again……..I understand giving this old crook a month to get the December timeline up and running but giving these cuckoos a weather forecast up to June and the unsuitability smiler must be p*ssing himself…….the only action they will understand is a physical extraction……a caretaker govt implemented and overseen by the army…..3 months to election not a minute longer

Interesting article….at first glance it appears to be a gathering of environmentalists but amongst them is the agriculture/environment advisor to the bnp……he mentions their green manifesto and at first glance it looks like there are going to be a few green cuckoos in the government to be..but a bit of further research based on the “green revolution” the father of the bnp Zia Rahman started reveals he was a massive advocate for food and energy independence and started massive exploration of the countries natural resources……sadly he passed away and the legacy never came to fruition…….from the environmental advisor the bnp want to carry on this revolution that never came to fruition!!……that involved natural resources,agriculture and water management leading to more independence …….all mega projects will not be permitted without extensive environmental impact assessment?……Gcm have already ticked that box…….

My thoughts exactly…..another exercise in stalling this June 2nd meeting…..it’s becoming so glaringly obvious they can no longer keep from saying anything………hoping they really give it to him today,

Just a quick observation over the last 10 months…….there seems to be just 4 people running the country of Bangladesh….yes that’s 170mln people under the administration of four non political swingers….Yunus,Rizwana,Fouzel and Alam (press secretary 😂…if that’s what he is who knows)…..and the little known Mansur gov of Bangla bank………how can this possibly work ever??……is this why nothing is really being achieved??……..Alam press secretary to Yunus making govt related announcements…..Rizwana looking after the plastic bags one minute then telling the army to do one….😳….how can this ever work!!……

It means, the BNP will refrain from holding any programmes during the period, to press home the demand for an election roadmap.

If there is no shift in the government’s approach or a clear roadmap for the election is not announced by the time, the party will begin street programmes in July and move towards a strong movement against the interim government to ensure the election, according to multiple senior leaders who are involved in the party’s policy-making.
