More political parties on Sunday called on chief adviser Professor Mohammad Yunus to announce a comprehensive road map for the next Jatiya Sangsad elections, a charter for consensus-based reforms, and to ensure visible progress in the trial of the July Uprising killings.

The parties made the calls during their meetings with the chief adviser at his official residence, Jamuna, in the capital on Sunday night. Yunus held the meetings with dozens of political parties in two phases.

Yunus has multiple options and he should act for the safety of the region and Bangladesh, say top Indian intelligence sources.

Agree searcher…..from what I’ve read today the political parties do seem to agree the lack of an election date has caused this massive disfunction and distrust……..I’m not going to say let’s hope the cuckoo’s do something about it…they have no choice or it will be taken from them all by the military…..

Roadmap on judicial reform, election should be announced

Nahid Islam hoped that head of interim government Professor Muhammad Yunus would remain in office and engage all political sides in discussions to find a solution.

He said a declaration should be announced within the stipulated time in July. Three roadmaps on judiciary, reform, and elections should be announced at the same time. This would raise a sense of reassurance and trust among people and political parties.

He urged the government to announce the July Charter and roadmaps for judiciary, reform, and elections simultaneously.
