Our renewable energy policy at a crossroads16 Jul 2025 20:20
Once again a semi renewable article blasting the huge burden of imported fuels, this we do know!!…….this is why Bangladesh only escape plan is domestic resources and the solar/wind they can play with that as the reserves improve or private investment is forthcoming………none of latter renewable investments will come under this cuckoo govt as it’s proving incompetent
Let me just say again for the hard of hearing bashers and numpties there is massive scope for renewable besides domestic fossil fuels in bangla!!…….they will not cross each others path for generations
As per the IEPMP, electricity demand in 2041 is estimated at 50,364 MW, while generation capacity is projected at 74,300 MW-47% more than the expected demand. By 2050, projected demand is 71,512 MW, while generation capacity is projected at 111,000 MW-55% more than required. If implemented, the plan would necessitate $3 billion monthly in only LNG imports and over 11,000 MW of electricity generation from high-carbon imported coal-placing Bangladesh under long-term import risk.
