Modernization of the industrial, power, mineral and energy sectors and establishment of good governance:

All old laws including the immunity law will be repealed in the power, energy and mineral sectors and the ongoing corruption in purchasing electricity from quick rental power plants that are against the public interest will be stopped in order to prevent hemorrhage in the national economy. Appropriate measures will be taken to avoid import dependence and to generate renewable and mixed energy-dependent electricity and to discover and extract neglected gas and mineral resources.

Investment-friendly policies will be adopted for the development of the industrial sector and to attract domestic and foreign investment. Encouragement, opportunities and incentives will be given to the investment of expatriate Bangladeshis.

I think China knew who the next democratic govt would be when Hasina went begging for loans early 2024……I’ve said it before but China is so ahead of the game in Bangla,controlling the military there supplying 80% of hardware at mates rates,I think it was $30bln promised through belt and road and only $5bln has been dispensed….so a massive infrastructure dollop of cash just waiting,somewhere in that is the mine development money $15bln tabled under Fouzels nose……..China have this in hand,I don’t think Bangladesh gave too much away to upset the Chinese during tariff negotiations but opted for some big import order’s instead…..I think China will be fine with that?

There’s a cold reality sinking in about renewable ability to provide future energy requirements which are waaay above where we are today…..that’s making the green lobby ramp up its effort to shift the trillions of yen worth of solar/wind into Europe and other blindsided countries before people realise its not a cheaper more reliable option….unless you’re a fkn gorilla,wild cat or a bengal elephant……..

Yunus soon on his soap box shouting victory,they never did any lobbying stateside,they had no negotiators until the last few weeks when they stared down the barrel of 30%….all they could offer was buy,buy,buy US products with borrowed money..🙄……like the rest of his deals he’s made while in office this is going to cost the country……he won’t be around when the new govt finally works out the huge cost of US gas,grain,armaments and aerospace products to keep the rag trade going…

Phulbari.org…..recap on Teesta

PowerChina, having signed a MOU to develop the mine, including removal of the overburden, is also working with the government on implementing the nearby Teesta River reclamation project, it has been speculated that overburden from Phulbari would be utilised in that process. As with the Phulbari project discussions are ongoing between stakeholders, future partners and the government. China has stated it will expand Rail projects in Bangladesh ready for the Teesta Project, doing so could also facilitate the transportation of Phulbari coal to existing coal power plants.

And just to put a bit of meat on the bones searcher,what’s better than to mention the Teesta project…..potentially linked to Phulbari 😉

Principal Asadul Habib Dulu, in his speech, elaborated on how the Rangpur region has remained neglected and deprived in every field for decades.
