Highlighting the importance of honesty and unselfishness of public representatives, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Advisor Faozul Kabir Khan has revealed an incident that happened to him under the title 'Temptation'.
Fawzul Kabir Khan, adviser on electricity, energy and mineral resources, brought out the incident that happened to him under the title of 'temptation', highlighting the importance of honesty and non-covetousness of representatives.
In a post on his Facebook ID on Friday, he highlighted the importance of honesty and unselfishness of public representatives and shared his experience.
In the post, the energy advisor wrote, 'A few days ago, when I went to a ministerial meeting in Sri Lanka, I was given a gift by the organizers in the presence of the power minister there. When I returned to the hotel, I opened the gift box and saw an expensive brand of wristwatch. I wore the watch, I liked it, and I was greedy. When I returned to the country, I wrote a letter to the Cabinet Secretary and sent the watch to be deposited in the Toshakhana.'
Reciting another recent incident, the energy advisor wrote, 'The day before yesterday, the head of an Indian power company (not Adani) met me again, accompanied by the chairman of our Power Development Board. He came to express his gratitude for settling a long-standing debt. On his return, he said he had brought a small gift. I told him that there was a set price limit for accepting gifts. I opened the gift and saw an iPad. The iPad at home was old, so I was greedy. I returned the iPad to him. Another advisor, sitting on the sofa next to me, smiled faintly at my behavior.
