...that there's not more support for this share given the news out today...I only hold 50k of these and got in on 6p lows so profit is looking good...
No news at all coming out - have 100000 of these babies slowly rotting away at an avg of c6p - anyone have any thoughts what the future might hold?
but think there's more to come on this one yet...
I'm rich, rich rich I tell ya! So happy with this - got in under 4p and have been sweating on it - now looks like my best ever investment - thanks to everyone for your advice and info - muchly appreciated!
Buying going on...loads of small denomonations of c300-400...like 95% of the buys too...anyone any ideas what the craic is?
Lol sounds like we are all a bit new to ths open offer malarky! I recieved an email from my broker with a document and my online share dealing has the open share offer as a 'click here' option so I guess I just decide to buy or not to buy...they are 35p a pop so to me it seems a no brainer although I guess the overall SP will drop as a result...
Thanks mate - I'll give my broker a ring on Monday. Having re read the RNS I think you need to be the registered holder of the shares as at close of play on 24th April...
Please can someone who is in the know help me on this. I've read the RNS regarding the placing and open offer. I hold some shares that I have bought and paid for a while back. However I also have an open position on a large chunk on a T+10 settlement period. Does anyone know whether this means I will qualify for the open share offer on those too? Do I qualify as the registered owner of those shares even though I have not yet paid for them?
Hi all I bought a stack of these on speculation of a buyout approach - which clearly was the case, but as it turns out the company rejected the offer. I have held SEG shares on and off over the last year with mixed success. I am now in the position that I am running quite a large loss so will be holding these long term as I have confidence that AOC will be a massive hit (I myself have pre odered it!). What I don't understand is the rules of the placing as I am still a bit of a newbie. Can someone please explain it to me in layman's terms? Is it only open to existing shareholders?
Sorry to contradict your opinion, but I think you will find Domino's is a take away business and imho their pizzas are far superior to those of Pizza Hut. However I do agree the quality of their staff is quite poor.
Don't know if anyone else is in this...I took a small punt the other day without really researching (bit reckless I know but it's only £1k so really just a bit of fun). I'm looking for some further news or thoughts if there is any out there...
Hi all I've had a position on these open on a T+10 for a few days and just read somewhere that they went ex dividend - is that why they dropped so suddenly the other day? Does anyone know for definate whether I would be entitled to a dividend payment if one is actually paid? My +10 doesn't need settling until the end of next week. I've been told completely different things regarding this and really would like someone who knows for SURE to fill in the blanks...your help is as ever appreciated.
Why the rise today? I took out a reasonable holding in Rank when I heard about the bid rumours - which then seemed to just disappear in a puff of smoke...happy to hold, but am thinking about cashing in and investing elsewhere as the price has remained fairly static with slight fluctuation around around the 90p mark...
Cheers Enirtak - much obliged - I'll look that website over too for future reference.
Anyone know if this is still being mooted? Haven't seen further mention since early April... There definately appears to be something afoot as the share price is gradually rising...
I bought a stack of these a few days ago on what I thought was the bottomed out price - only to see it tumble to a record low for the year... Well at least today I can smile as all my bank sector stocks are looking up ;-) [I hope it lasts, but know the likelihood is it's an brief rally!] Re Dividends on this one - can anyone tell me what the required date is for holding them and what the divi is likely to be?
a massive hit imho. I've bought a block of SEG shares for the 2nd time today after previously cashing in on the large dip then rise post the mid Jan stockmarket 'crash'. From what I have seen and read in various blogs, forums, magazines etc Age of Conan is going to have a large following in the MMORPG community and, as a keen ex World of Warcraft and Star Wars Galaxies player, I for one will be purchasing it . Tomb Raider will undoubtedly generate some nice income too for Sci Entertainment - but A of C is what I am banking on from an investment perspective. I expect a decent return by Q3 2008.
Just wanted to say thanks to those that have commented following my first post on LSE share chat yesterday. I am feeling very re-assured that this is a safe bet in the medium to long term so am adding a larger number to my portfolio now and will sit on them for as long as it takes to a nice profit.
I am pretty new to trading and have had some limited success based on what I have read in papers/on forums, tips from colleagues etc (examples being SFR bought at 227p, NRK bought at 68p pre the bounce over £1, CEN at 33p which I made a nice bit on today). This particular chat board seems very under nourished in terms of input and wonder given the 20% reduction in share value today whether anyone has an opinion on investing in ARM at the current low price? I have added a modest number of shares at 96p to my portfolio as a medium to long term investment - any 'in the know' guidance on this and whether to top up further?
