With respect Jamescarver, SDX and Sound couldn't be much more different. Pretty much the only similarity is that they both have interests in gas in Morocco. SDX has plenty of gas, is drilling and finding more, is selling gas at increasing prices, at a huge margin, and to an increasing customer base, and then there's Egypt. Established oil and gas production in Egypt, more drilling, more substantial finds, new production, increasing prices etc etc.
Frankly Sound have none of that. They may (or may not) be sitting on a couple of TCFs, and they may (or may not) find more. They have no income and are running out of money. It's certainly not clear how theyre going to fund the further substantial exploration that they require. Schlumberger may have funded the seismic, but theyre not going to pay for everything.
As James Parsons is fond of saying, Sound is a binary outcome - a gamble in my opinion. SDX is an excellent medium term investment.
