The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Well it wasn't me buying back in again :-) Anyway, the real reason for this posting is that there's a code 1 over on ctp too. What's going on? Santa coming a few days early?
I look forward to the day when we can have a reasoned discussion here without getting agressive and without the abuse. There's nothing wrong with different opinions and it seems that we all agree on the fundamentals - i.e. that pinn has a great future and the sp will climb a long way. The main disagreement is only on how far and how fast it's going to climb. My personal opinion is that a retrace is likely, but not as low as 12. I sold on Friday for approx. 110% gain and intend to buy in again soon. I'm fully aware of mxcp and am also sitting on a big gain with ctp. Now let's see how long before I'm shouted at too and accused of being a troll. Sad.
This chat was strangely quiet all day yesterday. I assume this was the calm before the storm hits.
OK, just taken the plunge. Hope I don't regret it!
If he's serious about replacing the bod then he needs as many shares and/or proxy votes as possible, so selling now doesn't make sense. More likely he and others intend to buy as many as they can afford. However, how they intend to fight against millions of newly issued shares remains a mystery to me. The next few weeks will be very interesting and expect a very bumpy ride! As always, caveat emptor.
Many thanks to Leon and co. for mounting an attempt to get rid of the BoD. Let's hope it's more successful than the last EGM. Can you provide more details of what is needed, i.e. what percentage of votes are needed at the EGM? Is voting based on the number of votes present/proxied or the total number of shares in issue? What is to prevent the existing BoD keeping a majority by issuing millions more shares between now and the EGM?
As one of those "queer folk" who didn't buy in today, here's my explanation. I've only been following PPG for a few months but know virtually nothing about the energy market. When I saw today's RNS - which looks like very good news, even to me - I decided the time had finally come for me to buy. Since I expected a massive spike this morning and didn't want to buy at the top, I checked the current price first, just in case. To my amazement there was no spike. Even worse, all I saw was a few sells. Since this makes absolutely no sense to me, I decided not to buy, at least not just yet. I really don't understand why the sp didn't climb today. What kind of good news does it take before the sp climbs? Sorry, but it seems this share defies logic, so I'm going to stay away for a bit longer before finally hitting the buy button. Or maybe I just need to learn a lot more about the energy market first?
PTV: Traders paradise, investors worst nightmare. Caveat emptor
Not quite. Debt would be reduced but not wiped out. According to the half year report from end September: "Net Liabilities of $5,607,000 as at 30 June 2015". So even after writing off a few million on Tuesday there's still a lot of debt left.
Unusually long time since the last one so can't complain too much. Pity the poor suckers that got drawn in over the last few days by the low mcap - a bit like flies attracted to dog sh*t. Serves them right for not listening to all the warnings on here.
A few days ago Camacord slashed their target from 365 to 240, and today Berenberg sets a target of 380. Who to believe? Or do they just use random number generators to define targets? Obviously I'd prefer Berenberg to be correct but at the moment I'd just be happy if the sp would stop falling.
It seems you have a new visitor and he's using the same tricks here as he did on ptv ("news imminent", "rerate soon", etc. Bingo :-(
Why the sudden climb from 85 to nearly 100? Am I missing something?
