You managed to look at the annual figures RNS, so yes, you're cherry picking information, and therefore deramping

With HL if you're only holding shares they have a cap on the management fees of £45 a year.

So you're effectively not paying management fees on any shares held above an initial £10,000

There was a decent buy in price any time before the end of tuesday

iPhone - because its unhealthy to berate people for daring to take some money off the table. Yes we've had a good week. I'm over 110% up since last friday morning. But that doesn't mean it'll keep happening every day.

There will be ups and downs on the journey to space. And if taking some profit makes for a stronger hold on the remaining 80%, 60% or whatever thats a good thing

Napth - Not for the first 20% slice. It's already set up as a sell order to take the decision out of my hands

Makesomecash - Exactly. Its what i did with GGP. I took two slices out of 20% each, and the remaining 60% is a much stronger hold than if i was still holding 100%.

Its the same as i plan to do here

Napth - At the current prices my precious metals explorers make up 1/3 of my portfolio. That already feels too much for me.

I'm slicing according to my risk levels, and will be taking out 20%, and distibuting the profits across other long term holdings.

Lets take it a bit easy guys.

People have different risk tolerances, different max % of portfolio thresholds, and different situations.

Taking a slice for a profit is never bad, regardless of what other people think.

Personally i will be taking a 20% slice somewhere in the 2.xp range, because UFO has now become my largest holding by far. Since the SXX debacle i'm much more strict about portfolio percentages, which removes theemotion out of deciding when to sell
