No costa for 3 years. Plus we get £290k.

Then another £200k payment if they want to progress to 75% on the back of more work.

They only go to 80% if we don't want to pay our share of the work after that.

It's a good solid first JV in my book.

Oil / knowitall - The thing is the slice wasn't because i thought it would drop, but because my percentage of portfolio was too high.

theyknowitall - The key thing for me was not to buy back in on the shake this morning. My top slice was to take out my initial stake and to rebalance percentages in my holding. It wasn't an attempt to trade

We're now up on what was the real close last night at 2.62p.

The 2.88p UT trade was in auction so the price got pushed up just for that deal.

Theyknowitall - I think you'd be surprised how many people sub 1p will have been holding on to what they have. Being multiple bags up makes these sorts of holds easier.

My slice yesterday helped with the holding today

And after 6 blue trading days, where the sp had gone up by over 300%.

Not hard to call a red day after a rise like that

Its not dropping.

Its up on what was the real close of 2.6p

The spike to 2.88p on the UT was a false close, to make any buys between 2.6p and 2.88p look like its a drop.

Same thing happened in GGP on the day that GDXJ bought in. Actual close was around 24.5p, and their buy went through at 27p because of the volume. That meant that the following day anything bought at the price of the actual close looked like a 10% loss

Napth - i'm ok with that. It's not physically possible to wring 100% of the profit out of each trade. I've taken money to move elsewhere, I still have a decent sized holding for my portfolio size, and i'm content with my risk level.

And when i next want to slice i will. And i'll probably leave cash on the table that time too, but i'll be using the money to make memories with my family. Thats the end game for me.

Napth - Why do we need to know you've 10 bagged? Or your predictions for SP?

People consistently saying how much they're holding is bad too. I've been in enough shares where people are encouraging people to hold while selling in the background.

Feel free to laugh at me when the JV drops and we 100% in a day. Yes it'll sting, but i'm now happier with my risk levels. And if we do 100% i'll be taking another slice at that point.

Oil_Beast - To be fair i did move my initial slicing target up.

It was originally going to be 2p, then 2.5p. then 2.75. At 3p my holding was way too heavy in my portfolio.

That said i've ended up having to sell considerably fewer shares to get my initial investment out

Personal experience in at least 3 shares where i held because i felt they were a sure thing. Ended up at least 50% down in each.

I'm now on a free ride, so i have no worries when we get a red day now and again

Say what you like Napth. I've taken my initial stake out, and why wouldn't you at a few bags up. Same as i did in GGP at 15, and look where that is now. Fact is, if i hadn't i wouldn't have had my holding here, and that initial investment money is starting a new holding elsewhere

I hit my slicing point at 3p as my holding was up to nearly 35% of my portfolio. 20% of my holding sold to return my initial investment. 80% left to ride for the big money, and some cash freed up for other investments.

As i'm now on a free ride i hopefully won't get as twitchy when we get a red day or two
