Mines - Thats so easily done, but i reckon if you hadn't sold it'd have dropped again.

I got caught out the other way last time, but held again this time and its looking more positive short term.

Thats why not holding just SXX is a GOOD thing.

Its possible to slice money elsewhere when a ridiculous bargain comes up.

investinvalue - You're only guaranteed 1/22 of what you were holding on 1st may. So feel free to sell all and apply for more than you're guaranteed. You do risk only having less than 5% of your original holding though

Theboard - My current holding is already at the max %age i'm willing to have. At the likely sp that we'll be at when divi's are paid SXX will be far too big a proportion of my portfolio.

The plan is to invest the divi's elsewhere and balance up more evenly.

Will still give a nice divi for a long time in my SIPP though :)

This puts you up 3870 shares or 93% of the additional shares you applied for using your 39133 share example. 93% is likely to be higher than the excess you're likely to be able to get

Yeah i ran the numbers a couple of days ago, and decided that as i wanted to get a larger chunk it was a better bet to pay 15.15p on tuesday and have the number of shares i wanted

JPM are unlikely to go to the level of individual PIs and decide exactly who gets what.

They'll break it down by the nominees(AJBell, HL, etc) and each of them will get the same percentage of extra shares.

The nominees will need to split the shares percentage equally between all those who requested extra, but if less clients for one of them want extra, then the percentage to those that do will be higher.

Last time clients of one got a few percent more shares than clients of another.

No guarantee that this is how it works, but it was worked out on this board at the time, and seems like a pretty educated assumption

BradSmith i think this may be done at nominee level (HL, AJBell) so all will recieve a certain percentage above the allocated (say 20%) But if only half of the HL clients request extra but all of AJBell do, the HL clients would recieve double the extra shares
