As part of their bonus they recieve 1/3 of it in shares

Completely forgot that this year is 2025, and was sat there thinking "ChatGPT can't be that smart if its predicting a 3p rise in 12 months"

Its almost like we're a miner now . .

Seems to me that even if we finish flat today thats a good result on the back of yesterdays 7.5% rise. We usually lose some on a friday regardless, even more so when we've had a decent rise in the week

You're missing the point Daze.

For me its about 25 years of divis into my pension.

Over that time frame a few pence up or down is irrelevant to me. If it drops i'll buy more, and when it reaches the cyclical highs i'll trim some fat. All the while keeping a core holding for the divis

Absent a disaster i don't see them reducing the dividend.

The increases have been carefully managed so they don't increase too much each time, giving them more breathing room to keep them at level rather than reducing

Why risk waiting for 80p.

Even at the current price its undervalued.

I'm getting close to my target holding (for divis) soon anyway.

I'll still be adding around the 100p mark once i hit that target to sell at 160p

If they don't i'll be adding below 100p.

Its cyclical enough to be worth doing

Number of shares in issue is irrelevant. Just look at some of the big FTSE companies and the number of shares they have

At this price I'm now blue with my enhanced holdings :)

To be fair, my request was only for the amount i needed to get to a nice round number. I imagine a lot of people getting reductions were those requesting hundreds of thousands / millions of shares

Only requested a small number of shares in the placing and got them all.

Well thats my request put in too for a small amount.

Hopefully it'll come through in its entirety otherwise it'll annoy my OCD when my holding is a few thousand shares off the next 100,000

The additional 100% of my holding that i added today is already in the black.

Irrelevent as this is now a much stronger long term hold than before, but its nice to be up

But by the time my pension transfer completes I have no doubt i'll have missed out on the good prices

As i read it.

We're getting a cash injection of 500k in the form of a subscription for shares. Ok fair enough we're diluted as part of this so this effectively nets itself out to 0.

We are however getting someone contracted to spend $4mil on drilling in return for 50% of the area. Now if they don't find anything we've given away 50% of not very much.

If however they do hit something good then we've had the initial work done for us which we currently don't have budget to do. So we give up 25% or 50% of something (depending on how much they've spent) instead of sitting on 100% of land which may or may not have anything.

I'm seeing this as more of a positive than a negative
