Alan - haha - yes I certainly know of that dubious practice. I used to run the mag multishot and gyros that found out what these DDs had been up to. Was never a DD myself but managed the DD services.

RA - All the nitrogen tanks mean the company feel that they are doing the right thing. The nitrogen is injected into the production string at the reservoir and circulates up the pipe which reduces the hydrostatic pressure to less than formation pressure and encourages the formation to produce. If they lost a lot of drilling fluid into the formation during the drilling process (which was quite likely) then they will need more nitrogen to inject until the reservoir produces oil into the string.

Alan - yes, my earliest days were good old gauges with amerada type charts but much more accurate. Ran them on many exploration wells which was a great buzz when we had a decent find. Then concentrated on surveying and directional for the rest of my career. Wish I knew then what I know now !. Thanks again for your insightful posts.

Alan, my respect for your many technical posts and they have been of great interest to me since I recently started following (and investing in) ANGS. I do beg to differ though on every reservoir having multiple faults. Many reservoirs are trapped by a simple dome having no faults. These would also need multiple wells for effective drainage due to the permeability. Several wells would produce much more in a shorter time rather than just one well covering the same area that would take way too long. My expertise is production testing way back and then drilling services.
