Thanks Mercedesman, that was my point, how can NC pay anything from $600m to $1.5billion (or more) without at least a MRE - they have a responsibility to their shareholders. They can't spend that amount of cash without officially stating what is done there. Its corporate governance. However like everything else right now - anything can happen.

I know I posted this earlier, but was a MRE or DFS declared before NC bought 70% of Red Chris last year, following their loading up of cash in the bank? Its a valid point as to see how they are moving here.

With much talk of NC taking out HAV early, was a MRE declared before they bought 70% of the Red Chris project? If so, surely they couldn't do the same without a MRE at HAV? They have an obligation to their shareholders before splashing out some serious cash, to know what's down there officially - thoughts?

Good discussion everyone today. Thinking about the Rio scenario, how do they plan to process their own precious metals when they come out of the ground? Will they build their own infrastructure? My question is, surely NC will always have the driving seat as they have Telfer next door, their overall costs are much lower than Rio will be to process? Therefore would it not prove too costly for Rio overall to purchase GGP? Alternatively if they were to have HAV via a take out of GGP they will have more to process and therefore bring their own costs down? Sorry a lot of questions, good debate.

I have just checked my first contract note for GGP - 20/01/2010 for 360k shares at 1.75p. I then topped up a further 265K shares on 15/07/2010 at 1.095p. There were some more buys in the last few years and hold a nice amount pre HAV discovery. If there was a special special dividend for hanging on the longest would be most grateful! I even forgot about them when they dropped down to the silly amounts of approx 0.012. If you had said 10p a few years ago most people would have taken it straight away including myself. However my preference would be a buy out of HAV at the end of the year, special dividend with some drills into Scally and off we go again with money in the bank and a new JV for Scally, let alone the other areas to be explored. 10p just does not seem fair value at all for HAV let alone GGP! GLA

Good point applegarth - hence my final comment in my previous point- "its never easy". I can't help think the reduction of all of this travel and less pollution must be a good thing for Mother Nature.

applegarth - actually there was a report on bbc world news last night if am right. It went onto mention that as there was less pollution, there was less particles in the atmosphere which actually the meant the strength of the sun would find it easier to get through, thus potential for the planet to warm up further. Its never easy!

Not sure if many managed to read the post by Myles McNulty earlier and his investment thesis document which was attached. Fascinating read, to see how this company is at the cutting edge of technology and research with their core product, the Affimer platform - Therapeutics and Diagnostics division. Before today's news they have been working with Moderna and LG Chem - big players. Well worth a read, attention to detail. GLA.

I remember that day very well when the HAD 005 results came in. DDH 1 was the company who started HAV - they might be doing the current drilling as well, or is it all in house? I would say either way they would be keen to get started once more at Scally - when time permits.

Greeny and MFU - there were two drilling campaigns with Hav at the start - the first one was for 4 holes and the second campaign for a further 10 holes . It was the second campaign which sparked the interest from Newcrest when HAD005 blew the doors off . That was paid for by part shares, part cash. 142k of cash and approx 11 million shares at the time, which was not a lot. After that campaign the farm in deal was formed. So I believe they have plenty in the bank to get some holes in and hopefully create more interest. With or without part payment of shares.
