I'm all in with AFC and EQT. German tax law wants 25% of all profits, plus 9% of this 25% as church tax and plus a "solidarity surcharge" of profits made by my shares, as soon as I sell with a profit. All calculated against each other, this is approx. 28% of the profit.

Both of my stocks have more than tripled since their placings this summer. When selling in Germany it is first in, first out. And I'm currently at the point where I would have to sell shares I bought around the placing prices or below. If I needed money for some reason, for each Euro I take out of the system, I get around 0.75 Euro after taxes. I better just let system work and try to find some money elsewhere, if requiered :-)

By the way: Do you remember the 46 shares from the beginning of the month with which I made Tradegate "green" for a day as a prove of concept? Today the day has come when I (a) got my money back (including the fees plus a bottle of beer or two) and (b), as predicted, am asking myself, why I have not bought 1946 shares instead :-)

I hope that we can achieve the fair value on the former (pre ABB) broaker notes this week. By the way, it would be nice if our broakers could consider the ABB thing asap in updated reports.

After that it will be a crazy ride:

In Germany on December 24th at (Christmas Eve), Tradegate and most other stock exchanges have a settlement day and are suspending trading. At the same time, LSE remains open from 8am to 12.30pm to the best of my knowledge.

On December 28th is a normal banking day for us, and Tradegate is open, while you are still on the boxing day.

On December 29-30, we'll go through the year's end ralley together.

I currently believe that someone is holding back the sp for some reason, so my next three targets are purely psychological in nature: 69p, 1 €, 1 GBP. I think the 69p will just happen this year without any problems. At 1 € and 1 GBP I see resistance because there will be many sales limits just below that. But both is possible in my eyes, as soon as we have a rerating. I don't dare to guess for longer term.

Augusta: I was assigned to process your complaint. We will take back your shares and compensate you at the share value of 22p at the end of last month.
I hope that I have contributed to your satisfaction and ask for contact me as soon as possible.

Alex: That's kind of my misery ...

Early this year, I became more than confident about three stocks: AFC, PHE, and EQT. PHE had tripled in that time, but failed in the summer because I was no longer sure about the integration of W2T, mainly because of the complete reorganization of the management.

So there was only AFC and EQT left. I am equally convinced of both, so I accordingly went "all in" 50/50 to EQT and AFC. The plan was to put The same amount of money into both. One of them should become a multibagger first, then half of the profit should go to the other share, while holding long the remaining stock of the first multibagger.

My "problem" is that both started at the same time. And AFC is unstoppable now and won't rest for qutie a while.

In the end, I can only hope that EQT / Billingham will be delayed while AFC runs so that I can switch reasonably some day next year.

Tenbaggerboy: Stay relaxed. Let's all celebrate, we deserve it.

Going from 58ct to 65ct during the time I read elsa/frozen pt.1 to my gang was a nice feeling. To be back to 60ct in less than the time of a beer makes me feel like I should have learned a song and bought a hat in that time. Anyway, seems to go back up again. Time to get a few beers more to sleep well. What a day :-)

Until now we had chosen more conservative forms of investment for our children's money. Since AFC is now less risky, my wife and I have decided to invest money from our three toddlers in AFC as well.

I have my day off today, the rest of the family is locked down anyway. We set the alarm clock to be there when Tradegate opened. Immediately after the opening, 24k shares at 50ct each were available. Now each of them owns 8,000 shares.

Congratulations AFC. Your youngest shareholder I personally know is two years old :-)

Germany is today on the first day of the so-called "hard lockdown", schools, most shops, etc. are closed from today until January 10th. Most private investors have other things to do right now than read financial news.

I bought another 5000 shares this morning. Would have bought eveen more, but could not find more money in the short term.

It was just a good time. When I was young, a lot of cool things and bands came from London.

At some point, when I was still in school, I found a travel agency, which brought us to London for a day for DM 69 (at that time GBP 20). On Friday evenings we were picked up at the train station in Bochum by bus, then we went to Calais, from there by ferry to Dover, and in the morning at seven we were dropped on the bridge near Big Ben.

At 6 o'clock in the evening we went back from there, and the next morning at five we were back at the train station.

We did that twice a month. We financed it by shopping Doc Martens, records and other stuff for other people. We spent much of our time in Camden, some time in Portobello, because we had to walk down to check out most of the record stores and some time in an alternaiove shopping mall calles Kensington market (or simlilar?).

I still like punkrock, gothic and all this, so maybe this is, why I got stuck in some AIM shares instead of DAX titles :-)

Thanks for speaking siome German, Timmo. Visting Wales and UK in general is on my agenda as soon as my children are grown up. Currently, with two jobs and three children aged 2, 4 and 5 years, I have neither the time, nor the money. Hopefully, AFC will help me to get this little problem out of the world :-)

But now, let's speak english again. This is an english language board, and I agree to anyone who is unhappy, if threads in different languages appear.

David, I cannot comment on the situation in France. But the "British forces Germany" were already completely withdrawn in 2019. Since then there are only a few hundred men in Germany, most of them for their own training, and some for FDP, logistics and special purposes.
