RE: Copper Dispute1 Jul 2025 06:56
The other side to this coin is would I want to work with you given your behaviour? Simple answer is no.
You call it fraud, Marula wrote in their 26 June RNS that "Takela has advised that in addition to the planned high-grade copper concentrate sales, it has been negotiating the sale of a lower grade copper ore product to local buyers. To date Takela has not been satisfied with the terms and conditions of these planned low-grade sales and has now advised that this lower grade material will be stockpiled, on site, ahead of its planned processing through the proposed Phase 2 heap leach circuit, copper solvent extraction and the electrowinning refining process at Kinusi."
To be clear, this is alongside the negotiations with the Swiss-based commodity traders for the sale of the high-grade copper concentrate.
You are not happy with the ore product provided and, rather than walk away from the deal, you have taken to LinkedIn and now LSE to ventilate your frustrations. You are a small time player who has got into a deal you are not happy with and rather than calling it what it is which is a commecrial disagreement which Takela should have addressed with you quickly, you make allegations of fraud. It also appears Takela have offered to resolve the matter, but you still spend your energy on here slating Takela and Marula.
Reputations matter, and your next potential supplier will look at this and may think I would rather not deal with this guy because he cannot be trusted.
