An improvement in branded sales should be seen, as shipment delays and the devaluation of the Egyptian pound seen in the first half wear off. A rally will target 10.82 and then 11.60.

Jefferies International today downgrades its investment rating on Hikma Pharmaceuticals PLC (LON:HIK) to underperform (from hold) and cut its price target to 895p (from 1074p).

First close above the 50 day ma since 23 March 2017.

Finished on 1136. But why sell out at the very bottom?

Last Friday HIK closed at 1155, this Friday close is 1198, say a 4% rise. On top of that the share price rose every day M - F, the last time this happened was back in Feb '17. The 50 DMA has been hit for the first time since 23/3/17. All good news but we're still below �12, but I'm hopeful for �14 by Crimble. GLA.

Ignore the shorts. Hold on till Dividend next April, then decide.

Looks like we will just have to stick around till the dividend next April, followed by the Trading Statement in May 2018. That will be the time to decide to cut losses, until then, hold.

Ventura today...The biggest event during the period was perhaps the complete response letter in May that Vectura and partner Hikma received from the US Food & Drug Administration in relation to the pair's proposed generic version of Advair Diskus, which is likely to require significant amendments to the drug application. Vectura, as device and drug formulation designer, and Hikma, as the drug maker, have said a number of the questions raised have been clarified and resolved, leading management to expect to be able to "confirm the regulatory timetable before the end of 2017.
