CX300 Optical Particle Analysis Instrument
The CX300 is Paraytec’s newest optical particle analysis instrument, a portable flow cytometer.
It can be used to detect fluorescent-labelled particles or cells that are present in liquid. This is done by passing the liquid through a capillary and analysing by laser diode excitation and photon detection of the resultant fluorescence.
Fluorescence is commonly used in biochemical analysis due to its sensitivity, multiplexing capability
and widely available reagents and equipment. The CX300 is suitable for analysing both biological and
chemical macromolecules and aggregates across a wide range of size and density.
For rapid analysis, the CX300 system is generally used in conjunction with Paraytec’s rapid
separation technology ParaySelect™. These ParaySelect™ cartridges are designed to rapidly remove
excess fluorophore, or other contaminants, from the sample.
The system includes instrument control software, which also manages the collecting, decoding and storing of data. Data analysis is included, and the results are automatically generated.
