Good post over on the other.: The shares will re list later. Couple of things to remember, the Bahrain investment caused some of the problem as being offered warrants on top of their 20 million investment caused others to wonder why they hadn’t been offered the same favoured terms. Having now changed the terms to offer one warrant for every 2 shares everybody has rushed to the table. I believe the placing list contains many blue chip long only funds. They realise they are part of a new funded Oil company which has bought distressed assets at a knock down price. They also have excellent prospects for the first three wells to be drilled in Niger. Remember Savp where suspended some months ago when the oil price was very low so imagine what price they would be even without their new asset. The company has raised over 100 million pounds in a difficult market. It is my strong belief that the shares will be a stellar performer. All the Best

I guess it comes down to perception of Niger, and the historic hit rate.. I think AK having £8 million invested has everything do with this transaction. Literally couldn't have picked a worse time of year to raise funds.

I'm expecting short term sentiment to pull this back initially, but realisation of an imminent drilling program and exciting producing assets I feel will draw investment. Onwards and upwards to the faithful. 75% cos hasn't changed. Time to injection some positive back into this after that slap in the face. Here's hoping the bookbuild finalises. Gauging off malcys reaction today and the RNS dated December 4th, AK must have had a number of value accretive mergers/ accusations under his nose. ASMS joining SAVP, as a long term development institution is a serious signal to the market of what's coming. RNS 4 December "The Board believes that the Enlarged Group will provide a strong platform to take advantage of what it views as a unique opportunity to acquire further assets in Nigeria at a low point in the cycle. These opportunities are expected to come from a variety of sources, including major oil companies continuing their divestment programmes, a further marginal field bid round which is expected in early 2018, potential partnership opportunities with NNPC and direct negotiations with local/indigenous players who are typically heavily geared and struggling both to meet debt repayments and to fund capital investments into their assets."

Malcy just now. Savannah has announced that it has put in place a strategic partnership with ASMA Capital Partners, who manage the Islamic Development Bank’s IDB Infrastructure Fund II. The partnership also comes with an equity investment of up to US$90m, of which US$30m will be done initially. With announcements on the price and the re-emergence from suspension expected very soon it is a busy time for SAVP but it all looks highly promising, and looks like a vote of confidence in their deal to have a long-term developmental institution getting involved in the Savannah story.
