The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
well done toff - perhaps you should just have said you 'once worked for them. or perhaps a past / present employee could copy your email and send it on our behalf! Anyway well done for taking the trouble. debs1. News re. a Conn replacement will be stage one of a small revival.
when is the next ftse review? we are now below the threshold to stay in the 100. buffet is correct in his line of thought re. power generation. However ofgen have made some very bad decisions and Conn should have been standing up to them more robustly. The green levi should be lowered and apply to every company / account. This company has been decimated by host of greedy and inept people. Yes I have lost money but not as much as some of the hard working people who have been mis managed. A new board will have a difficult job to turn CNA around and sadly they will need a rights issue to alter the emphasis of the company.
the green energy cap imposed on the main energy providers is one of the main issues which must be addressed sooner rather than later. Conn has said nothing to the regulator and until someone starts to bang the table we will continue to struggle. It is not a level playing field and new entry companies are not helping consumers with this subsidy they are receiving. It needs sorting. Conn is too weak to do it.
you are 100% correct. Why don't people open their eyes to the Chinese issue, it is very serious. The Irish dairy industry is now mainly working for China, as is Vietnam - Central African rain forests cleared to grow rubber - environmental and climate issues related to that. very dangerous issues for the future. South China seas dangerous area. The general public know a little of what is going on but can't do anything about it. However just raising a few points like yourself might make other people aware of the situation. Thanks for raising the issue. Sorry it can only be on a Lloyds BB.
Just ripe for a 'Sports Direct' take over, it would fit very nicely into the Mike Ashley stable of stores and give him a wider consumer base in the sports equipment market. He doesn't realise the opportunities available to him with HFDs. Can someone give him a call and let him know what he is missing, tell him to be quick before the SP rockets!!
Great set of slides, well constructed presentation with no need for an RNS, lays out the past and 'hoped for' future for SCLP. Good to be part of an exciting research company. Of course it may or may not produce the end product we all hope for BUT it stands a very good chance of coming up trumps for cancer treatment and therefore long term share holders as an investment. It is not instant but the SP should grow as patient info. is released, ie when the info is available.
quite right gas man, I'm afraid society has changed and not for the better, how to teach people respect for others, for the environment for our communities etc etc is one big conundrum to solve. Too many angry people with issues, like wanting investors savings / nest eggs to disappear - find it difficult to understand. Take care.
Someone is playing tricks with the share price - down over 3p - must be great value at this price. Apart from very negative D. B reports everything else points to a very large progressive company getting back on track, to pay down debt and control the pension deficit issue. I will have to put some of my KCOM funds into BT when they arrive . Have held BT shares for a very long time so have seen the ups (not sold) and downs (bought a few more) .
500,000 @ 116p wow! Someone knows something big is about to happen. hold onto your hats and your KCOM shares. I sold 1/3 of mine about 2 weeks ago at 112. (happy with that decision though - correct at the time). good luck lth's.
in 2018 KCOM went ex dividend on the 21st June. My assumption (unless told otherwise) is the cash offer will include the final dividend being paid to holders prior to completion. If this is the case, to me, it is worth hanging onto the shares. In the past it was often worth the wait for a cash offer to be completed as there were no dealing costs, but these are not as significant these days. If we are not going to get the final divi. and it looks as if there is not going to be a rival bid then to sell would be a better option, to the money working sooner.
the 40,000 at 5.11 was a buy.
I still believe the science will convert to a business - after successful trials - BUT there are no guarantees. If the scientists can't run the business it will be taken out by a larger pharma. co. but at a substantial discount to its potential. Take care - it is not gilt edged.
I like your style helx! Let us just hope at some point an acceptable plan to take us forwards is put in place. That goes for CNA as well!!! To me it shows how people who push to take responsibility misuse that responsibility and do not in any way understand the affect they have on so many others. One invests in a company expecting the employees to do their best from the lowest paid through to top management. We are being let down - and it is not the receptionist or the engineers who are letting us down. Leaving with a payoff would be the last straw. What is the company worth - on paper - more than a pound, without an updated and sensible business plan and with Conn man staying in post. Probably much less than a pound. Take care.
buy at a £1?? it is effectively already at a £1. Todays low £1.11 minus dive 8.5p gives £1.025 . Fill your boots?? Difficult to know - buy of the decade or good money after bad?
However I think the catalyst for success needs discussion, this BB has started to address some issues but has never formulated a consolidated list. I do not know all the company details to do this but with help I will write a letter, but what do I put? Language would be sweetened and not confrontational as my second comment.
Mr Conn must move on - his decision no compensation. The new CEO taken on on a lower salary but with a sensible but not ott incentive scheme. Conversations with off-**** to pull the plug on their crazy way of creating an unlevel business model. But then what? I say nuclear should be part of the model, others say not. What should the business model be?? Ideas please.
