The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Thanks for asking about friend, she is not well at all, although we only have 'text' contact at the moment. She is having stem cells harvested this week prior to another round of chemo. Fingers crossed and anything else crossable.
Also for putting me right with my over simplification of ways to get trials started in the UK. I am sure there is so much going on behind the scenes and the Vulpes input gives that extra confidence to SCLP as an investment. Take care.
I am a little surprised that Oxford isn't being opened as a trial centre, I would have thought conversations with the local oncology hospitals would have been held long ago, with head office only round the corner. Also CRUK should have links with all oncology consultants and get 20 people at the right stage for the trial shipped in to Nottm - if that really is the only venue for the trial. SCLP could easily pay for B and B for 20 people to stay in the Nottm area for the start of the trial. Am I just thinking too far outside the box?? If people are past conventional treatments surely they would jump at the chance of life lengthening possibilities / options. I know I would.
journeo - I hope they didn't pay someone to come up with such a stupid name. As for the share consolidation, never had much luck with companies who have done it in the past. I just hope the company has some spectacular contract lined up. The past few years doesn't give a lot of hope though. Chin up fellow 'journeo's' . I don't believe it either!
I am guessing the drop is due to the new left of left Spanish coalition parliament which as ever will put the squeeze on business and will lead to instability in the markets. However uncle doug I think you have a good entry price - for a medium term investment and a very good price for a long term one.
Don't be silly scotty - Ian Conn from centrica gets that crown!! I suppose we could have joint holders.
you have missed one very important point ( or glossed over it) That I am afraid is the biggest historical left wing killer, and that is the way they have used inflation to the detriment of anyone with any savings or investments, There has never been a post war Labour Government who have had a sensible way to control inflation. Blaire / Brown gave the B of E governor independence to move the blame away from themselves - the little weasels. Inflation is the killer of capital and that is what left wing politicians want to do. Please don't let it happen!! McDonell - another weasel - not to be trusted -would only be useful down a hole on Autumn watch!! Apart from that you are 99% correct!!
motoring on well, still under NAV but holding up well. An interesting set of investments held in the MRC portfolio. Fund managers don't seem too greedy either. Quarterly dividend is good as well. An observation not a recommendation!!
thanks for the insight feline. Keep up the good and hard work, you deserve success. thanks to the staff for all their hard work as well.
Well done Boris. Walk away and let them stew in their own juice. They treated Mrs May with no respect and thought they were being clever. Leave them to it and get us out - NOW - or on the 31st at the very latest. Rude and disrespectful of other people. Why would you want to stand in front of a group of idiots who just want to create havoc. Idiots, (nearly as bad as holy idiot on this board.) Take care all. Liberal idiots as bad - no respect for democracy.
No oil- more bikes to be sold - good for Halfords, Who knows! Do you remember a couple of months back - share price 220p and people saying 25% under priced. Well well I guess we have a foundation to build on now at mid 170's. Good luck all.
well said. not easy to explain to the remoaners, but well put by yourself. We are in a fine mess in the UK with so many people playing at politics with their own destructive agenda. I do hope the sensible hard working uk population will stay loyal and make an orderly and quick exit from the EU, The 'common market' seems a long time ago before we were sucked into the undemocratic spiral of the 'Union'.
there should be at least an RNS re this price change. If the results are bad tomorrow it will mean information has been leaked, without a doubt. The steady rise over the last few days has quickly been eroded. We don't stand a chance, as PI's, to make a decent investment if there is so much backroom dealing going on. You try to do your best and just get robbed, of course the alternative is the building society .9% interest rate, with 2% inflation - all of which is manipulated by the Gov. or B of E. Stuffed both ways! What the markets are saying is gamble the short term and don't call the stock market an investment - sad case of events. Is this a rant from someone who is under water with an HFD 'investment'!!!!
the new PM is going to do it - get us out of the EU mess. The UK of course will get blamed for any EU down turn and any UK post brexit issues but it is up to us to do our bit and get behind him to make it a success. radio 4 last week - UK businesses are making changes to prepare and cope with a 'no deal brexit' to the benefit of other UK businesses. The BBC bias will of course do their best to focus on the bad bits. A November election would be a bad idea - too soon to be able to show the benefits of leaving the non democratic money pit black hole called the EU. We can't leave the decision any later than 31st of October.
