Sold these this morning when 1% down and threw it all at Boohoo when it had dropped 4% - seemed like a no brainer. Profitable days work. I'll probably take the TW dividend as cash now and wait a bit for some more sector news before coming back in. Main investment is still in bricks mind but at the production end - ibstock. When o when will this stock ever get to a solid 200 plus position and then crack on?

So I sold these puppies at 700 along with BKG(I know, I know - crystal ball etc) and went into GSK after the drop but am now thinking of coming back on board. Probably not until the price hits 580 - few per cent to be earned elsewhere first. Where is our man Prof at floorwise?

Going Going gone - sold at 702.56 - well happy with that. Now the big question - when to buy back (gonna stick half on this and top up my BKG) - I am tempted to hold off for a week and wait for the BoE result - i.e. if there is a quarter point increase then try and buy at the depth of the inevitable over-reaction. Some here are looking to get back on board tomorrow - any thoughts re my leanings? Last time round it was 2 for an increase and 7 against but having read last month's minutes and in view of today's GDP growth figure of 0.4 vs BoE prediction of 0.3 I think they might want to start now on a gentle ramp. If no increase then buy in quick at 1200 GMT. Still, who knows what tomorrow brings....

Maybe someone is on the payroll (fttb at least). Any significant short positions were closed off in Sept so only HGI showing but there might be some below the radar (i.e. less than 0.5%). This suggests a somewhat different picture to the doomsday 98% of traders scenario painted on here.

Gosh, a lot of chatter since Friday (had the day off yesterday). As per plan, I sold my BWY this morning at 1.75% up on the day but nice wedge overall since purchase and instantly piled it back in to BDEV at 675 when it had the early drop so fees covered and already up as it stands. Now on plan to sell 2 days before ex-div and potentially buy back after BoE meeting published. Bought some Berkeley on the drop this morning too. All good in the B- boys. Bring it.

I have been looking a BKGH recently and will likely add them at some stage - they are building a new estate in Sussex which I note as I cycle past of a weekend - looks pretty decent by all accounts and seeing stuff on the ground is always a positive. Not sure about debt ridden companies....

Has anyone got any general input as to which builders are mainly building where (Nige?) as this would be useful to guage how margins might hold up going forward

Nige - you need to get more sleep good sir! I sold all my BDEV after the 4% jump and then bought 1/2 back in on a drop so no loss feeswise but put the other half on BWY which has been very fruitful. I intend to sell BWY early doors on results day and bung it on BDEV at whatever price and then sell the lot 2 days before divi but I will then wait for BoE meeting at beginning of Nov to see if there is a fall that I can capitalise on - that's the grand plan anyway.
