I totally agree why anyone puts the amount of shares on here is beyond me, I genuinely believe it puts new investors off knowing how much it has gone up by and feeling they have missed the boat so to speak. If you got early then be satisfied that you chose well and in some cases lucky ( I put myself in that last category ) So lets enjoy the continued ride pleased in the knowledge that the best maybe yet to come! Can someone enlighten me as I always thought that when the Dow goes down, gold generally goes up,this does not to be happening now,we seem to follow the Dow up and down together. Just curious,is it because of these unusual times at the moment.
Well Razor, I sincerely hope you are right with your predictions and thoughts, Finally I was in good profit a few weeks ago and now the trap door opened and into a big loss, I do appreciate that there is a risk in shares but we seem to be hammered when things go wrong, then take an age to recover, I must admit did try and sell this morning but could not get a quote, only to be offered 132 for them so left it. I really hope that we recover and will hold for a few weeks to see how it goes! Fingers toes etc well and truly crossed!!!
As a long term holder, this is like playing snakes and ladders with only snakes on the board, I think the time is coming to get out of this, we seem to be on an endless belt of profit warnings, if it had not been for the dividends and the quality of the people on this blog I would have gone years ago, as soon as the time arises I will call it a day, and they call the Aim market brutal!
MMs really going for it now, dont fall for the scare tatics, we know this will come good, patience being the order of the day, we will be rewarded, the hands maybe numb but it will be worth it in the end!
Well feel devastated at the moment but we have come quite away from the double digits we were at and as El Professor stated we would have been happy with this price a year ago. The trouble as my confidence grew I bought more at a much higher price as I am sure a lot on here have so still feeling a bit low, what we need now is a good rise in the gold price to cushion the blow, thanks again for making this board one of the best, I wish you all well.
I would also like to thank Paddy and many others who unselfishly have gave there honest knowledge and observations on Greatland, I too have not sold any and feel with the buying nearly twice as much as the selling, the next leg up is not too far away so try and switch off (I know thats not easy) and look at this in a months time where things should be that much clearer.I wish you all well. G.L.A.
Schlemiel, hi thanks for your honest words it just to show how human we all are, I was close to selling yesterday as I like you have been in that awful position of picking a stock that does well for a few months then dives to oblivion, I was in lgo oil and could not believe I was £3000 up at one time, and watch it fall to a loss of £3000 I was devastated so I totally understand your actions. This feels different as I believe that most on here are honest (as yourself) with fellow investors I can trust, I hope you will dip your toe back in and join the family again, hopefully on a dip (not too much though) I wish you all the best. G.L.A.
I think we are all in shock what has happened and I must admit I am finding hard to understand the logic at buying at a much higher price all be it such a vast amount, my account has not updated the new price so feel it is too good to be true, though I am more than happy to accept it! Have been here a few years now and must admit I was getting tempted to sell after having many times of losing on Aim. Good luck to all it has certainly been a hell of a journey so far!!
