The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Laz,
I'm not trying to get anyone to sell. I'm just pointing out that there's a game going on here. Some on here believe that RF were trying to crash the SP to take over the company. How about RF arranging a pump and dump to sell the shares they have at maximum profit as they know they will soon be gone? What do you make or all these new ramping posters that have suddenly appeared and the SP rising on no news? It doesn't matter to the long term holders as they've been through it all and will hold no matter what, but someone new might get burnt.
I see all these new posters on here ramping this this week. Posters with thousands of posts who have never posted here until now, suddenly telling everyone about the potential, hyping this up with how they can sell loads of shares or what the bid price is, all trying to create urgency. This is a pump on dump on this beleaguered share. If you are new here, be very, very careful.
Yes, RF will soon be gone and the P1a readout is coming in the next couple of months. These will cause the price to rise, but not like this, not now. For the long term holders, I'm glad you're making back some of you losses and if added in the raise then we'll done. But you will agree that these new posters are definitely a different breed?
The neoadjuvant arm of the Modi-1 trial opened at the end on July 2023. I would hope that we get some result from this before the end of 2024. This is also the arm of the trial that Lindy said was most important to big pharma, as it would prove tha t Modi-1 works in the way they say it does.

Lazarus,
"Sitting on the fence" haha. It's called changing one's mind and adapting to the information in front of you. Of course I was was positive when I bought my shares. I still think 1801 should have great value once the efficacy data is available. However my belief in Sareum, the company, has has been destroyed. The first big red flag, and the one that started the massive SP slide, was Sierra returning 737. It shocked me to be honest. It also made me very weary of the rampers on this BB (WIP, where is that charlatan?). The second red flag, was the MHRA not approving the P1a trial for 1801. We deal with them all the time and it's really black and white. Fill in the correct forms with the correct data and you get your approval. Delays are an issue but eventually they get there, IF everything is in order. Then there was the RF financing as the third red flag. I read and understood what was going to happen and I sold the majority of my holding. I've been looking for a point to buy again but I don't see a bottom. It's not worth selling the rest of my shares now either. The next £2.7 million from RF is not guaranteed (Mathsprof even did the calculations) so P1b funding is not guaranteed. Even if they do get the £2.7 million then RF will have more than double the shares to sell than they have already received! Where does the SP go to then? The P1a readout and potential spike on news of P1b starting will be heavily sold into by RF and shareholders alike, which will just suppress the SP even more. Any licencing or TO negotiations will be from an extremely weak position. So I will leave the shares I have left as a lottery ticket, but I'm fully aware im likely to lose my money. There would have to be some fundamental shift for me to buy more, because of the value in 1801. I just don't see how Sareum are going to extract that value.
Lazarus,
Firstly- P1a is not complete.
Secondly - 2.7 million of the RF agreement is not guaranteed as there are conditions that need to be met to receive it. This may be what "subject to financing" means.
From the RNS - " A fourth deposit, on the 6-month anniversary of the date of the First Deposit, of up to £1.4 million (the "Fourth Deposit") subject to the Customary Conditions (defined below) and the following trading conditions:
a) the maximum amount deposited and outstanding being not greater than 10% of the market capitalisation of the Company at the time of the deposit.
b) the maximum amount drawn and outstanding being not greater than a 15x multiple to the 10-day and 20-day Average Daily Traded Value of the Company's ordinary shares.
c) maximum amount deposited and outstanding being not greater than £1 million prior to the deposit.
· Future deposits, to the balance of up to £1 million (the "Future Deposits"), may be mutually agreed between the Company and RiverFort".
"I've been invested here for a long time and I'm very very optimistic that the company will succeed however I have concerns...."
I see these sorts of statements on the bulletin boards all the time. Supposed long term investors pouring cold water all over their beloved share. Spare us all. We see right through you.
There are a few around here at the moment.
Drac,
The presentations are at academic and scientific meetings. Big pharma and small companies present at these if they feel they have something unique to present. Some are by invitation and others by selection.
You need to separate the commercial interests from the scientific data being produced. The results being presented will be nothing that hasn't been RNS'd, but the presentations will be tailored to a different audience.
To suggest that presentations being planned for the end of the year indicates lack of commercial success is disingenuous.
Matt,
The upfront payments are going to be in the same ballpark as the Genmab deal. Lindy said this (you've mentioned that today too). I dont think exclusivity would increase the initial payment by that much, but the overall deal and milestone payments would be bigger.
Well the third and fourth drawdown become available on the 4th February. £300000 for the third and £1400000 for the fourth. Yes, another £1.7 million in February. They took the second in November and unless there's a miracle, they will take the third and fourth too.
American football is brutal. Average playing career is only around three years due to the high injury rates. Rugby league is soft as in comparison.
