I’m happy to not comment on what I don’t know. I don’t know if there is oil at the location, if there is what it’s may or may not flow at and given that what any market would be for it.
You can’t categorically determine it’s NPV is lower than oil search, even if it is probable. Also any NPV is influenced by a number of factors not only infrastructure, chances are Conoco will develop willow and harpoon which could make our success case route to market easier, plus there are the usual market influences.
You constantly take the lower part of every variable to negatively compound potential. Your opinion but maybe one day something will surprise you on the upside and you’ll become a happier rabbit. Lol

00.19 - yeah you’re out if your talking about just this season’s drill as harrier deep definitely isn’t being drilled (as the rig isn’t capable of reaching). Jury is still out whether we make it to harrier at all...so given that consider just the merlin target.

11.15 - my view is that the market/investors are tainted by history and there'll be little upside from now until results, I'm not trying to put a downer on it its just I don't see the momentum to drive up prices unless that news is of material/commercial oil discovery, particularly with any placing share overhang - time is tight. The share appears to have become too risky even for the speculators/ gamblers, only the true investors looking more at the technical and fundamental analysis have support for the share.

21.43 - PS I haven’t know any non compliance in anything 88e has issued in the entire 5 years I’ve followed them, so highlight doubt there is a ‘scoop’ to be had here...

21.43 - my understanding is for ASX compliance the information from the independent report is required to be issued by 88 energy and not XCD even though they are wholly own by 88 energy. Yes it’s a reiteration of materially the same information but, would appear to require more detail with respect to the IRE methodology and parameterisation, heh, those are the rules I believe.

14.31 - probably the less risky strategy too given I would say the Kaparuk is the most reliable of the formations given its commercial presence elsewhere on the north slope. However nothing is certain or risk free in oil exportation...
Hopefully get it in the bag as a marker in case the other zones are more challenging.

Does anyone with some technical experience have any thoughts about the shale components in a number of the targets?
Is it reasonable to think that the testing would involve a small fracking strategy to maximise flow and minimise the impact of the (presumably) less permeable shale constituent?

If pantheon is anything to go by, you find oil and the market still doesn't give you any value before test results...maybe they won't give you any value on positive flow tests either? Not sure what 'the market' wants, in the barrels with a bow round it? time will tell but no confidence in the AIM arena, closer to a car boot sale, rather than a high end auction house...clientele to match....

I love the way AIM and AIM 'investors'/MM work. We're having a good drill so far and yet were back to pre-TD and initial results levels, implying this was 'priced in' or the initial results have not de risked this at all? Whilst I appreciate the flow tests need to be positive from at least one zone, zero appreciation for the initial results is nonsense.
If we get good results from the tests and analysis, I would suggest Pantheon seriously consider a full FTSE listing. Yes there is a cost to the company and to investors given it'll attract stamp duty but its got to better to have the share in a proper market and attracting more professional investors rather than the AIM car boot sale....

14.51 - I think thats under egging it WAassie...your attachment was the initial lower court suspension ruling on the 6th Feb. It went to a higher court (9th Circuit Court) and that ruling supported the lower court ruling and currently is blocking the willow development. As always it'll be subject to appeal and politics.

12.53 - Seems to be citing the gravel work under the current plan. Be interesting to see what Conoco's response will be. Don't know enough (or have the technical experience in this area) to make any opinion as to whether they can alter the development plans to appease the ruling. If this stops a 590m barrel development of one of the largest and most influential oil Co.s in the states, that will have a bit ripple through the industry. (also I think its got connotations for development /commerciality of Peregrine if we hit something appealing as leveraging off Willow's infrastructure must have been an option).
Maybe it's a conduit for oil development in Alaska is closed.
Based on domestic demand and the % of total state revenue oil creates, will have to see how long this green utopia extends.
One thing we do know...legal action can last a very long time if our exploration subsidy fight is anything to go by.
ANWR I get - you could see by lack of bidding, the larger Co.s had been warned off...the NPRA is further and historically explored/developed so would be a more bitter pill.
