As previously commented by other people and not to be dismissed that the broker group have accepted a 3 year share option deal as payment. One of which being Inyati Capital...which is where DW is now. Read into that what you will

13.52 - Apart from the usual summary and immediate future plans, I liked seeing the ESG down on paper also speaking to Talitha implications and the differences between Peregrine / Umiat and Willow given a review of the court case comments. Also the 'simple strategy' good to see that they are willing to consider fully finding drills as well as FO (diagram slide 28)

11.52 - I see, you put up a deramping argument without examples and then when examples are raised to support a counter argument to you.... you change tac? These companies started somewhere and as all companies, would have had limited cash reserves initially...do you think they raised these shares for fun? or when they had substantial cash reserves? no, they raised them historically out of funding necessity...like 88E are doing. AIMHO

08.49 - I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed they have merlin-2 targeting a farm-out. I’d rather they go it alone. They talk for a technical partner but look what happened with Premier, moved the drill and set us back considerably

20.02 - what if you’re both wrong? Why would you assume rabbit is correct? I question the motives where commentary is posted by a known supporter of a different company and historically a critic of this share. Past posting history is an interesting read but that’s an individuals choice.

The RNS reads like they are now comfortable and have enough info to drill the Merlin-2 appraisal alone which I think is positive and certainly on a cost (extra funding/dilution) to reward, keeping 100% WI would appear to be a reasonable decision.you eopuldn 't give away hundreds of millions of potential contingent resource/reserves if you didn't have to.
Remember keeping 100% of Merlin and proving up for sale would;d easily fund other assets.
Clearly still risk but the balance point seems to finally be shifting.
