Re war my observation following Putin's summit meeting is that the Chinese have signaled quite strongly to Russia their desire that the war in Ukraine ends - from a Chinese point of view its bad for their business. This is the opposite to what Putin hoped for ie Chinese support for Ukraine invasion in return for Russian support for Chinese invasion of Taiwan. Sensing the beginning of an end game brewing for Putin....

Higher leverage is what's deterring institutional investors buying into IAG significantly at the moment I think...

Scotty - at Q3 Im anticipating a peak of 1.30 based on the Q2 rise to 1.23.
Q4 1.45 all things being equal.
Think that is reasonable.
If 1.30 end Oct - Ill sell and regroup as bought too much at 1.20-1.22.

Yes a bar on Nato membership may well be needed - bitter pills need to be swallowed to end the war chaps. Ceding part of the Donbas will be an even worse pill for most Ukrainians - interesting I dont hear objections on that front.... Fordm your latest message re the US is ridiculous - dont bite the hand that feeds you. I shall assume you are on drugs right now and forget it.

I think the Russians are in real trouble and the only thing holding up further advances by Ukraine is resource. Behind the scenes intense conversations will be ongoing at diplomatic level about a resolution that suits both sides - maybe Ukraine cedes part of the Donbas ie that part which is predominantly Russian - something that gives Putin a win but also involves recognition of Ukraine as an independent country. A bar on NATO membership should be offered up to give Russia some comfort. I feel the end game is close - Russia are resorting to missile attacks at civilian infrastructure which is futile - crucially they are not reinforcing nor mobilizing further troops of consequence. The Russian army Im sure want an out here and that messaging will be being sent to decision makers and influencers in Moscow (Putin aside)....

Appreciate my tranche approach is nothing new but just dipped into IAG again at 1.06 approx. An upturn will occur in lead up to Q3 results. Small amounts will result in big gains next month.... dont take your eye off the business performance itself... Business class seats are the golden egg for IAG, current uptake and projections look good....
