What we know is the IAG is a cash cow when ALL wins blow in the right direction. Early days tho. AC time for your comment…

Yep nice bump today and expect a further mini bounce close of markets when the fund managers come in. If SP breaks 1.14 it could go a lot higher. If it does, Sund who came in at 1.45 on the Oct 31 SP table could well be the victor as trivial as the table was.

AC -- Sunds continual ramping and talking up the SP does prompt a degree of skepticism which raises a degree of suspicion. I think this too is a fair call out. I think also given all your experience in the markets you may have seen this type of person before perhaps. He seems undeterred despite all the criticism and his line that he will win long term morally justifies his posts which are perhaps aimed at new investment players to get into IAG despite bear market conditions...

AC - no one ready cares - it was just banter a few months back - to make an accurate prediction as at 31 Oct back then with everything that has happened in between in the UK, Ukraine and the US would be pure luck!!!!

Sund strikes me as a long term investor with quite a bit of money to play with and who enjoys a bit of banter..... that would be a reasonable conclusion.... Like Jtan I cant follow the markets closely at times but as said your predictions have been pretty accurate recently and your £1 pick for the 31 Oct table is a strong possibility tho cant help but think it will be a little higher...

Chaps, this SP is being hammered at the moment and econminc news coming out of the US this week not looking great however post 21 Oct the shorts are done, and Im prepared to call it . The SP will be 55p on the 27th of Oct. Happy to be called out on this with an alternative.....

All roads point to Rome chaps but agree with AC, not just yet..... Inflation in the US necessitating interest rate rises on the cards - when the macros in the US stabilize, this SP will rocket. Only proviso is bloody Putin....

I largely agree with AC's views on the SP. AC see the LSE as a subset of the NYSE and in particular the S&P 500. The S&P is overvalued and for as long as the possibility of further interest rate hikes in the US is present, the big boys arent going to play ball with IAG. Until they do these AIG SP rises we occasionally see wont be supported to the extent necessary to overcome the shorts. Most US shorts expire 21 Oct so expect a significant rise around then but this wont last either unless the threat of recession and further interest rate hikes in the US recedes.

I dipped in yesterday at .97 and sold this morning at 1.01. Am hesitant to go again today.
