Iberia to Resume Madrid-Tokyo Route

Spain’s Iberia will resume flights between Madrid–Barajas Airport (MAD) and Tokyo Narita Airport (NRT) in October 2024, restarting a route not served by the airline since 2020.

Iberia says in a statement the MAD-NRT route will mark the Oneworld carrier’s return to Japan. The airline suspended the MAD-NRT route in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A350 now in big demand which will benefit RR hugely

The year-round service, which will be exclusive to Iberia, will open from Oct. 27, 2024, and be operated 3X-weekly with an Airbus A350 aircraft configured to carry 330 passengers, including 31 in business class.

Iberia says it will offer more than 45,000 seats on the route during the 2024-25 northern hemisphere winter season through March 25, 2025.

The CEO sets the ground of the internal control environment by providing leadership and direction to senior managers and reviewing the way they are controlling the business including ensuring audits are completed within the set timeframes

The blame lies with Manuel Llobet, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, once is forgiven, twice is incompetent. He needs to be dismissed and let go with minimum share options as he has failed miserably over the past 2 years

My money is on Thai Airways wanting RR engines for all wide bodied planes

This has surprised many including myself, now we have broken the £3 barrier, the next news will hopefully be the Turkish Airline orders that was agreed in principal that have now been signed off. Additional to this any SMR updates from the meeting in the Czech Republic and also from the UK on RR being the principal contractor for SMR design and build modules. We then have the potential buyer for the electric division to be announced soon, taking all this into account the £4.31 target could be achievable if these things get all signed off

I maybe not explaining it clearly enough, once it is in the ISA it is tax free, yes you have to sell and buy back but this takes minutes and what you lose in those few minutes is gained to have this in your ISA. If not you pay CGT, one thing to remember is the allowance is shrinking again in 2024 so makes no sense to keep them outside the ISA

I have done this a few times, it allows you to transfer up to £20k, it’s a very small difference in the sell and buy back, worth every penny in the long run. It’s a tax wrapper that is the best thing you can get to avoid CGT

Great to see this, unless you know you have this contract won for 2024, you wouldn’t go to this degree with specific job description/roles and future plans.

Allows the government to show some transparency when awarding the SMR contract to RR next year.

30million funding for Holtec to complete Steps 1 and 2 of the Generic Design Assessment (GDA) as the first step towards UK deployment of our Small Modular Reactor SMR-300.

Have faith in Tufan and RR making this happen.
