Actually thinking about it, this guy Rami has taken a leaf out of ABs book of ambiguity since this statement could mean anything in much the same way that AFC are leaders in the fuel cell market without having sold a single unit -

You can have a ‘prominent presence’, doesn’t mean you’ve got any sales.

They may not be promoted on the Speedy website, the JV may well come up with a new company name and it’s own website, but since the terms of the JV haven’t even been agreed yet there’s a lot to do before year end. Quite ironic Speedy teaming up with the slowest mover in the business !

According to Bond the SP is where it is because of the global economy, nothing to do with his failure to deliver.

2023 is yet another year where investors are expecting a flurry of news in the final weeks of the year only to be badly let down yet again no doubt.

Considering AFC are meant to be supplying £2m worth of 30kW generators to the Speedy JV before the end of the year, and the JV will be wanting to hire them out pretty quick following delivery I’d expect to hear that the terms of the agreement have been finalised and would expect to see the new JV actually advertising the generators for hire.

The Alkamem product continues to gain commercial traction, let that sink in.

AFC Energy (LON:AFC) said it continues to make good progress with the development of AlkaMem, its technology for electricity production from alkaline fuel cells.

Small scale membrane samples have been sent out, it said, while AlkaMem has been successfully scaled up in size within a commercial-sized fuel cell.

"AlkaMem has continued to show strong operational performance and the ability to scale this into a single commercial-scale fuel cell now means efforts can go into the design and engineering of the HydroX-Cell(S)TM fuel cell stack," said the statement.

Adam Bond, chief executive, added: The AlkaMem product series continues to gain traction with industry and academia and we are delighted to have commenced additional third-party membrane validation activities, in addition to that already conducted with [partner] De Nora.

We had the opportunity to place Britain at the vanguard of the Clean Energy Revolution, but as with '40 new hospitals', HS2 rail, Global Brexit Britain, repairing RAAC-affected schools etc. it's all just PR hot air for votes whenever needed. AFC Energy has formed a well-to-work consortium to demonstrate the use of green hydrogen to displace red diesel at UK quarry sites. AFC Energy develop modular, scalable hydrogen fuel cell and hydrogen-carrier conversion systems, and are working with; Energy Solutions, a battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturer; and Brett Aggregates, a quarry operator and cement supplier.

The project will demonstrate the supply chain and technology of AFC Energy’s H-Power S/S+ Series emissions-free hydrogen gensets through one month deployments of green hydrogen-fuelled gensets at two quarry locations. The gensets will displace red diesel generators across the two most commonly deployed power ratings: 30-50kVA and 250kVA. The H-Power S Series is an air-cooled fuel cell generator which will be operated with a BESS with a minimum usable capacity of 45kWh and the H-Power S+ Series is a liquid-cooled fuel cell generator to be operated with a BESS with a minimum usable capacity of 184kWh.

The gensets’ deployment will demonstrate the flexibility and power range of hydrogen fuel cells, BESS and the potential to displace virtually all off-grid diesel generators in construction, mining and quarrying sectors. Demonstration in working quarry sites under identical conditions will enable the cost of ownership, durability and suitability of the emissions-free gensets to be established. Key findings from the project will be shared through dissemination activities.
