we hung onto the days high price at close for a change, am expecting a little pullback tomorrow due to profit taking but the sp's definately heading upwards, which is excellent, still undervalued here. gla

agreed Qz, the current difference between supply and need is around the 5m bpd, so i can seethat the reserves would get depleated but only very slowly, and given Saudi had throttled back on maximum production to underpin prices im pretty certain they could replenish those stocks very quickly. To me there is far more to this incident, and im not convinced the saudi are giving the true picture on the damage caused, i think the damage is far worse. And of course Iran/rebels (cough) could realy easily send off a few more unstoppable 'drones' at any point in time. The continual vulnerability here is the key i think.

thought this was a little odd today. apparantly Saudi has asked Iraq to sell it a load of oil so it can meet its commitments. Seems a bizarre thing to do to me given they say 5he fallout from the attacks will be short lived and they have reserves.

i think trumpy may well just start to do that. Although he's not afraid to take on lots of opponents, currently he has the chinese, iran, and he's mooted having a go at the EU as well, all with his impending reelection campaign due to start. He could do with 'sorting' at least one of those headaches out to give him time to campaign, and id suspect the easiest is the china issue.. Doesnt have to get the 'right' deal afterall, it just has to appear to be so.

Saudis say oil will be flowing again at 100% by the end of the month. Trumpy reported to have cancelled opening up the US reserves. Think we might see a drop in oillies tomorrow, maybe a good time too add a few for the divis and for the next time the medieval despotes get their toys out as they surely will

billy, lets just say i have a relative whos very highly placed and involved in controlling our own unmanned military drones so know what that sort of tech is capable of. im also a cynic at heart :)

the holes in the storage tanks shown on the Yank photos certainly look a bit to 'round' to me - remember those cruise missiles in Iraq that used to punch perfect holes in buildings. Surely an explosive drone would have a different effect?

oilprice dot com showing Brent at 69 usd now, 14% higher. Must be more trouble over in Saudi than first thought given the storage taps have been opened, all points to a longer supply interuption imho. Should see better increases in oillies tomorrow, after todays relatively little sp rises.

currently 2350, so around 3% higher. still 250 below recent high when oil was ar 70 dollars
