good points gents and very valid. The difference i see, and i have no first hand knowledge at all, is that the chinese all seem to pull togeather, presumably under threat from their leaders, a bit like worker bees, and so are very productive. Whereas we in the west can never agree on a longer term strategy and cant organise a pi55 up in a brewery, the chinese always get things done, cheaply but done. Hospitals in a week, huge infrastructure projects, modernised industry from nowhere etc, while us in the divided West just talk and put obsticles in the way all the time. I cant see them changing their ways anymore than i can us realy.
No doubt the trade battles and now this virus have kicked the sugar out of them, but life is cheaper there and i recon id put my money on them recovering quicker as they wont worry about the people side of things. Going to be interesting for sure.
