The one thing i havent noticed discussed on here is that in general plastic waste, where the decomposing element would be a huge leap forward, is how do you sort the differing plastics out from each other and provide manufacturers who reuse the rcycled plastics with certainty of the different levels of polymer contained once evrything is mixed up?
Consistancy is king and without it across all recycled plastic to the same % levels the material is useless. Or are the company pushing for less recycling and more decomposing to replace this?

Ive previously looked at SYM, their product D2p's primary purpose is a plastic degrading chemical added to products made from plastic to allow them to decompose in the environment after a given timespan (dependant upon the concentration). It also seems to have some sort of bacterial killing properties so could be useful in scientific or medical situations. A very nifty and welcome product to reduce plastic waste in to the environment. The BBC and SYM are currently however battling in court after some programe or other belitttled the claims. In essence they said it doesnt work unless o2 is present so anything dumped in landfill doesnt actually decompose at all (apparantly). That programe killed the share price back to low single digits sometime back. Broadly where it has remained until today.
SYM have today announced that Bovine CV (not the one affecting humans currently) dies off in 24hrs on the surface of plastic treated with such a chemical, causing a near doubling in its price today.
Im no chemist, but it all sounds a little like 'bandwagon jumping' to me by a company who have their rear a little close to the fire (they make no profit) and surely such a superb on the face of it product should be included in every piece of plastic produced for the alleged environmental benifits alone, let alone this new found benifit. Greta and governments around the world should be singing its praise and legislating, but only a few Me countries have for some reason, and the company has struggled on. Who knows what will happen with it in the current climate of Covid lifeboat grabbing, but i think the new quality is a cynical ploy myself, how long does Covid stay on 'normal' untreated plastic i wonder.

The pipeline funding and construction has also taken several years to not actually materialise, tenders were received many many months ago now, and yet nothing started or announced on the subject, in fact they have gone cold on the subject and reverted to solar boreholes IIRC? No water = minimal (if any) product. Which incidentaly they were apparantly producing sometime back, but again, thats gone very quiet, and it was quiet enough when they were apparantly producing with very minimal details.
GC did do well with the drinks business i grant you, but a share price decline from 15p here down to fractions of a penny is called value destruction certainly not progress.
It is also perfectly acceptable for people to have an opposing view to the 'applauders' and post negatively, opinions are just that and we all have them, its what makes the world go round and provides balance, and its often needed here, given the facts.

My next door neighbour a Ward PT in a previously red designated hosp has only had one antigen (pointless i thought?) test since all this began. Came back negative for antibodies. Unfortunately one of her admin staff colleagues caught CV at the beginning, ended up with 9 weeks ITU treatment and finally sent home needing 24 hr care package after the damage inflicted. Was a fit healthy 51 year old beforehand but totally dependant now due to massive multi organ damage. Oddly he didnt even see patients like my neighbour.
You just make sure you take care out there.

Yes what we'd all have done with a bit of hindsight would be be very different im sure. As for the house, its my last BTL (i had four) and was valued at 220-230 by the agent. If i wasnt five hours travel away from it id be keeping and converting to a 6 room HMO as its value is there, its a big victorian house. I put it on the market one Thursday lunchtime, and had sold it for the 240 i valued it at by friday midday. The purchaser lives five doors down, and wants is quickly for his son to move into. No mortgage or chain either end so should be quite a speedy sale - he says crossing the fingers.

ditto on the RR George, i am very tempted to get in there again after my last little prosperous trade, but am going to hold off for a while in case the RI materialises (drop on monday i think), but you never know i could be tempted, i dont like holding cash generally.

I fully know you meant well and want to calm things, am not having a go at you at all so please dont take things that way. As you know i speak my mind, always, and i dont ever sit on fences as all that does is give you splinters, a spades a spade to me.

having been where ive been it really gets my goat when some fool thinks anything is more important than your health. There are lots of prosperous wealthy people in the graveyard and everyone of them would change places with a pauper in a second if they could. Health is,paramount over everything and if some 'Superman' impersonator comes along and says anything different then im going to disagree till the cows come home. Two years ago when i was myself a 'superman' id have been the same i expect, but ive the benifit of that experience now and its totally changed my views and outlook, if others are to ignorant to bear that in mind then thats their problem, no doubt their time will come sometime in life.
My experiences have made me a very strong and determined individual, and thats the way i'll be staying as i believe its what saved my life over and over.

sure was, the government, whilst accepting this is a new thing, have been pretty woeful since day one. Lots to learn there and hopefully they do. PPE for one should be made here.
As for the markets i wish i was fully in cash but im about 85% invested currently, holding around £80k in cash. My pf before all this kicked off was circa £800k, now down considerably as you'd imagine, but im an investor not a trader and take much longer timeframes so dont worry about it. Have a house sale going through at the moment for £240k so deciding what to do with that will indeed be a conundrum when the buyer coughs up. Hopefully the markets will be a bit more stable then as putting that under the matress means i'll burn my bum on the light bulb at night.
Time will tell though, health is by far more important that numbers on a screen or little bits of paper.
