Whilst nothing is particularly rosy in the WHOLE sector, including RYa with a nett loss of approx 825m, they are clearly fairing a lot better than most as some have noticed, and at least are prepared to put their monthly numbers and forecast up for all to see. maybe thats why the sp is at such a decent level and consistantly so.
Clearly the likes of hsb et all who are adding not inconsiderable sums are confident, they dont l8ke to lose money. Nice to see the fleet ownership numbers confirmed - 84% unencumbered is a high percentage, lots of extra new aircraft on the way.

i use Hargreaves. Not the cheapest one around, and in common it seems with all the other brokers, they have the odd little 'outages' just when you need reliability, but the platform itself is a doddle to work with. Kind of trade my businesses money but only now i sold it.

looks like glen are reducing the call for credit on their banks as they have stated to be their aim. Choosing not to 'roll along' the total current debt amount. Sounds good to me.

(Alliance News) - Glencore PLC on Wednesday announced the extension of its revolving credit facilities as the miner manages its debt.

The Swiss commodities trader and miner said the shorter-term facilities were extended to May 2022 and the longer-term facility was extended to May 2026.

A total of 44 banks agreed to the extension across the facilities, Glencore said.

"In line with Glencore's stated target of managing net debt towards the lower end of its USD10-16 billion target range, and then sustainably maintaining this lower level, the aggregate facilities have been reduced to USD12.7 billion by way of a voluntary cancellation," Glencore said.

The extended facilities are for general corporate purposes, the company said.

These include the USD8.07 billion 12-month revolving credit facilities and a USD4.65 billion revolving credit facility with final maturity in May 2026.

Glencore shares closed 0.6% lower at 284.25 pence each in London on Wednesday. Its Johannesburg shares ended down 0.9% at ZAR58.08.

Colls, tbh i think i would personally prefer to go to the states than most places in Europe currently. Yanks have had it bad (hasnt everyone) but at least they are vaccinating like crazy now, unlike on the continent. Am concerned that after restrictions for so long, and no oppo to fly elsewhere so reducing staycation numbers, us coastal towns are going to get knocked over by a wave of pent up travel release. Just not resourced for the consequences healthwise in the SW at the best of times. As for the update, i have no idea at all, i expect more mixed messages and pleas to stay sensible, which will sadly fall on deaf ears, given whats been happening this week.

Unfortunately not Scoop, being in a major seaside town im dreading this weekend when all the tourists will no doubt decend on us here and be as irresponsable as already seen.

Maybe South Staffs could be an option - isnt the retail arm of Pennon linked in with them already? Severn Trent may become involved (and so gum up the timetable) if that was the case. STW are not exactly adverse to takeovers either, they bought out and merged East Worcester.
As for the spending or returning of cash, they will need a good pile kept back to sort Scilly out. Needs a completely new clean water and waste water installation, both of them are failing their statutory consents and since they took those over the usual UK regulations now apply. They may earn a bit of slack in the short term for volunteering to take them on but eventualy they will need to comply, at great expense.

Yes a nice welcome suprise and likely a few others will be rerating too given the pent up desparation for holidays again. All looking good here on the sp front, only negative is the useless EU vaccine rollout debacle, although i do see a few of the bigger members %'s are creeping up lately.
