I dont get this 'hang up' about having to own shares before you can post on a chat board. The 'oracle of BOO rowlocks' shares the same hang up and often bleats on about it in a negative way.
Its totally illogical for any investor to hold such a viewpoint, and in a way defeats the whole object of discussion/varied opinion by eliminating an awful lots of views. Simply put it just leads to an echo chamber of similarly minded and 8nvested people, who by their nature are going to be pro the particular share their money is tied to, and blinkered in their 'balanced' view as a consequence.
Quite frankly it just produces a load of back slapping people all paddling the same canoe, a range of views is the most sensible.

Glad to see you have similarly met up with and made a few buddies with some of the people from here. There are an awful lot of decent people on these boards, but you have to sift through the ramping blinkered unknowledgable dross that unfortunately also exist in bucketloads, simply to con people out of their cash by trying to influence prices and impose their control over others.

Unfortunately with social media type platforms like this then they are open to all sorts. If decent honest people are using them the exchange of differing views is a huge plus, but when the trolls start up it becomes a bit of a lost cause.
I've physically met up with around a dozen people off these boards over the last few years, many of us now meet up regularly for a few days away talking investements organising visits to companies and having a few beers. Next meet booked in September.
We as a group moved away from using this platform as a communication tool precisely due to the trolls and dreamers that spoil the platform, we set up a Discord group and something similar is about the only choice i can see out their unfortunately.

Evi, exactly, hardly attractive for new investors at that rate. needs to be lifted.
