fleccy, re Lloyds, the 'dont ask' reason was that im a holder there lol.
They have been dropping for a few months now and im only just squeaking a profit (my buy in was 41p) whereas they have been quite a bit higher fairly recently, so have seen what was once a healthy profit deminish to not quite evens.
Vodaphone, i know nothing about except the horrendous debt pile, so i keep away. I know some like its decent divis but i just dont like the levels of debt being carried, too risky.
BT, that bloke could easily blag the money from elsewhere, not difficult to do. That share is certainly trading on such a possability, which was made clear when he increased his stake, the sp shot up from the 140's to the current area, where its stuck since. If he sells out or substatially reduces they will drop. His reason for purchasing is key there. Im sure he doesnt want his money to just remain static and collect divis at less than inflation rates.
Your airline bankrupcy theory is interesting, it could happen as you say, but who knows Mikey might be the purchaser! He could either expand and dominate, or close down and remove competition. Not likely to occur either way though i dont think. The other low costers are operating to Mikeys MO from now on anyway. There is zero chance of divis from any of them that are covered by earnings after the last few years of covid, lack of staff, fuel costs, dilution etc. And they all have higher 'bums on seats' cost than RYA, so less competative.
