The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
I just wonder with so much potential ahead for MKS, whether the market makers are trying to shake out a few weak sellers as I feel certain that if/when the company is promoted back into the FTSE100, the share price will start to rise as the tracker funds have to hold the stock.
Another interesting statistic is that over the last few trading days, the buys have outweighed the sells by a substantial margin yet the share price continues to fall.
MKS holding position 96 at the moment.

PUMA: Everything that you have written about the Riverfort facility is correct.
I simply cannot get my head around the fact that based on a current market value of £60M, if the share price was driven down to your 20p by the selling of 2M shares into the market, £40M will have been wiped off the market value of the company. All apparently for the sake of a £2M drawdown on a £5M facility which may or may not be fully utilised. This brings a new definition to the word recklessness. The directors could well be held liable for such a calamity.
What professional advice did the directors receive? They are scientists to whom Sareum is their pride & joy. It is not as if the company has run out of money. If the testing in Australia has gone well, we would have received an RNS setting out the results which might have been the right platform to get a rights issue away.
You seem certain that a capital raise in the markets was unsuccessful. Should that event not be the subject of a different RNS?
I have been invested here for 10 years, Depending upon how Riverfort structure their selling, let’s hope there is the appetite to from buyers to mop up the shares as they come onto the market.
AimHigherStill: We spent 4 days in Singapore in April. It is one of the most fantastic places I have ever visited. Multicultural, clean, vibrant. My father in law was station commander at RAF Changi in 1946 and seeing the photographs from then to the country which now exists is amazing.

A poster on ADVFM yesterday stated that the share price is falling because one person on the 1801 trial in Australia has died.
I have reported this libellous statement in an email to Tim Mitchell this morning. Posters like this do not help our cause and I am shocked that ADVFM have not removed the post.
Massive: I see that you had a further 4 separate purchases of 500917 shares yesterday, if your previous trading system has been repeated. You seem very confident of the outcome here. Let’s hope it all works out well for you. We have butted heads in the past but all credit to you and others for flying the flag here.
SAR.LSE had the same problem with the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency ("MHRA") over the application to perform clinical studies for a new drug. In the end, they sought approval in Australia where the application was granted in a month.
The FCA is pretty useless and the continuing delays by these regulatory bodies shows how broken the UK has become.
I continue to hold here and have confidence that this will all come good.
I feel certain that, some months ago, posters referred to specific timescales that Solg have to start mining at Cascabel and possibly other tenements. I cannot find this information but as we are not mining at present, doesn’t this make it more likely that a large mining company company will want to take over the asset fairly promptly to comply with these terms
I sold my only holding in M&S in February 2022. I was concerned about the ability of M&S to continue to produce good numbers to keep the share price moving in the right direction.
I went into the Hedge End superstore a couple of weeks ago and was so impressed with what had happened to the store. The place is buzzing with customers, plenty of cafes and food concessions.
I was quite shocked hey how much the shopping experience had improved.
I am now invested again and full of confidence that M&S are making the right decisions and will deliver of profit forecasts. The food side of the business is just amazing.
I have a significant holding with HSBC Invest Direct and have notified them of my voting intentions
I also hold 10K of shares in certificated form and have heard nothing from the registrars enclosing details of the AGM and voting forms. There may be others like me who will be excluded from voting.
addicknt : Arnold Weinstock would be turning in his grave at the fact that his beloved GEC is no longer. He held too much cash on the balance sheet instead of seeking takeover opportunities. Should have taken out BAe Systems when they had the chance in the 90’s. Weinstock thought they were a poorly run company. Look at BAe now.
Quady: But don’t you see that in goading you and possibly others on this site, he want you to take the bait. I know that you are determined to have your say, and that is part of your personality. But for someone to submit hundreds of identical posts overnight is an extraordinary and disproportionate response.
But, for the sake of the many other posters here, when you see that new name followed by the number 1, just filter it as addicknt has recommended.
If you persist in responding, you effectively make yourself no better than him because, whatever the rights and wrongs of the argument, you are giving him the oxygen he needs.
Quady: I know that you are deeply offended by this poster’s views and style of writing. However we live in this perverse world of free speech where anonymous posters seem able to write what they want, and oil protesters seem able to stop hundreds of people going about their legal business and the police appear unable to intervene.
addicknt made a very good point this morning - if none of us take the bait offered, then hopefully this poster will lose interest and we can have our BB back as it was. Please Quady, your help in achieving this is as important as any other poster on this BB
I seem to remember that last year, after the share had received a similar battering, Parker purchased £10K of shares and that certainly steadied the ship. Very surprised that this has not happened on this occasion. It certainly needs something from the directors to stop this unremitting selling

He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. - The Gospel According to John”, chapter 8, verses 3–7
Whatever gives you the right to sit in judgement of other people on this BB when you think nothing of bullying other posters not to mention the extremely unflattering terms you use to describe them.
Your behaviour at times here is nothing short of disgraceful.
