Been in this a few years and lost over 20k. I was too busy to keep track and did not sell when I should have done. Guess I believe there was a great future in their developments.
Val Ju has 1000s of posts on this company and I would like to know why the SP is rising and if there is any hope for the company not going to the wall. If you can help that would be much appreciated.
Fortunately I also invested in Avacta and SNG so overall I have done well. I have some spare cash and wonder if VAL is worth another try.

Any system that allows a 30% rise and then a 30% fall in a day and then back up again is wrong. It may not be criminal but it smells and is plainly unfit for purpose. It would help to have an explanation and it should be investigated. Clearly there is some degree of manipulation that should also be investigated. PIs are being manipulated and that is plainly wrong.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people on this board and I much appreciate reading the reasoned postings. SNG still carries investment risk but the current situation brings potential high reward too.
My question: how high is the degree of confidence that the current trials will be successful? It looks promising but I do not have the technical knowledge to make a clearer judgement.
First got interested in a few companies in this sector 2 / 3 years ago, including Valirx, Avacta, Evgen and Synairgen. Adding to the latter three and averaging down, I have done OK overall. Valirx has been a disaster but more than made up by SNG and Avacta.

Yesterday over 600 posts on Avacta. I do not post much but as an investor for over a year, I did a few times on this board. Most days there were 0 -5 posts. Anyway I am glad that this has come good and shows if you believe in a company you follow through thin and thick.

IPO hold 15% of Avacta and will benefit significantly from the increase in their Mcap. Current Mcap of IPO is about 50% of the fair value of their many holdings and the SP is less than 50% of year high. Worth more detailed research.

Just to clarify, I have been invested here for a couple of years and have not sold any. I have averaged down. I will add more when I think the time is right.

Why are you worried in minor SP movements? If you believe in SNG and the value of what it is doing ignore it and buy more if you can. SNG is involved in great things. It is high reward and may be medium risk. By the way I don't understand small PI behaviour on small shareholdings either but learned to live with it!

Previously IPOs in Q2 but this now seems unlikely. It is understandable that PIs will wait for more definite news. Future is promising but until more is known about the possible values of Brandshield and WeShop then in my case it is too early to invest more. In the short term (3 months) there are other investments with nearer term potential.

Thanks for comments. Hopefully the new funding announced by the Chancellor will help companies like HEMO. Bought some and will do more detailed research.

Please can a LTH and someone who knows about HEMO offer an explanation of why the SP dropped by 75% during the year? I was thinking of buying but was put off by the possibility of a fund raise. Money may not be needed in the short term but without significant collaboration agreements this would become necessary in 12 months possibly. Mcap £10m is nothing compared to the potential. There are a few very small UK biotechs with great potential including RENE and Evgen as well as the latest high flyers heading the leader board today. This will be an area of considerable interest going forward.

SP was over 40p a couple of years ago but the market changed generally. With NSCI some investee companies did not deliver, some were disposed of at a loss and expenses were too high. Where is the business case or attempt at a valuation? Recent upward spike did not last and any LTHs suffered again. I lost out (quite a lot for me) but might buy a few if this drops to 5p. First I will need to update myself on the medium merits rather than a big fall after a huge spike.

Hopefully the active discussions will be concluded quickly as other major pharmas will not want to be left behind. First mover advantage could be big here. An announcement could come at any time.

Depends on the contractual relationship and what was agreed in the contract and in the spirit of the discussions and agreement.

I am not a frequent poster but feel very let down by the company and the lack of news. I have held shares through the many months, years even, of waiting for Seven Energy to complete and have seen the value of my holding drop to now 50%. I appreciate there are risks and the situation today could not have been foreseen. The lack of news only leads me to feel even less confident in the company and their ability to achieve a good outcome for shareholders. The last RNS of substance was the operational and financial update on 11 December and much will have changed since then. Surely there something should be said to reassure shareholders. This was one of my larger investments but not any more! I am tempted to sell and accept the loss, putting my money to better use elsewhere and in a company that communicates with and looks after shareholders. They really don't seem to care.

There has been a lot of posting about the impact of the additional shares on the SP. In the absence of news it will probably go down and perhaps by more than 10% as is not unusual on AIM. This is not a normal situation due to potential upcoming news and the most recent similar situation was on SNG but that has remained well above the last placing price. There are similarities between the two companies. Important drug development and contribution to other pharma companies with significant budgets to develop new and improved treatments. Also in both cases there is the potential for a bit at a significant premium to current SP. This could come at any time - who knows?

If you have done your research and looked at how much is going on, then Avacta should be one of the companies that can succeed and help many patients to a better life.

It was announced in March that "the Group will announce its financial results for the 17 months ended 31 December 2019 on Tuesday, 21 April 2020. There was also to be a presentation evening this week. Obviously things have changed but have new dates been announced yet?

The difference now is the sheer number of scientists and companies and Governments working on this with a huge budget available. We need to be optimistic that a solution will be found.

Followers of SNG will know they do not give frequent updates - check how many RNSs were released in 2019. The nature of the company and a bit frustrating for shareholders. They've currently got more important matters than releasing RNS but hopefully some news will come soon. As others have said be patient!

This news underlines the very low net cost to commence production. The costs outlined in June 2019 presentation were already quite low. Hopefully some forecasts will be updated and released before too long to give an idea of the future value. It is not a given that gold price will rise further but even a forecast at $1500 would show a dramatic uplift as the $300 is mostly a higher margin. Hopefully too the timescales to production will not be much delayed.
