Calling the 40's for 'well over a year' means you've been wrong for 50/52 weeks.

It would be really useful if someone could call the next big basket price rise about a week before it happens (please).

Traded a few on the way down, still holding a few and might now add a few. DYOR the SP could double from here on a spike in PGM prices but is unlikely to halve due to cash pile and decently run company.

Let us know which number you get! I'm thinking of taking a trip up to the open day - I can check on sales when I buy a bottle.

Not counting intangibles they've got 5 million in assets and no debt so it's possible they could take on a little debt instead of placing shares.. can't wait to see what new products come out of the new facility.

Sylvania (AIM: SLP), the platinum group metals ("PGM") producer and developer with assets in South Africa, announces that the Company has, on 30 June 2023, acquired 571,593 Ordinary Shares of $0.01 each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") from the market at an average price of 79.40 pence per Ordinary Share, placed into Treasury pending cancellation.

It means the amount will count for the purposes of your 'interest on savings' tax allowance rather than 'dividend allowance'.

Not a concern if held in a Sipp or Isa.

Best to check with your broker though.

Can't believe 'The Takeover Panel has been consulted and has agreed' - they are supposed to consider the effects on all share-holders not just their buddies.

Random small droppings aren't going to attract any investment. Dividends should be included and declared with the accounts and with a proper dividend policy they could make a difference to the SP.

Yup, the next divi is clearly shown on DEC's website under 'stock data' - it won't move to the divi/tax section until it's paid.

Looks like a rare win-win but can't seem to get a quote to buy.

I don't think I would start investing here until the final result of the 'Skilled Person' investigation is complete.

There is little or no information from the company and we are not really sure whether the next dividend will be declared or not.

I would say there are probably much better (and safer) options out there for a stake in Financial Services.

I know Trusts operate a little differently but I can't believe someone is dumping shares at this price especially with the tender offer on the table and 5% yield still for the coming year with the promise of much more after the refinancing.

When the SP was 50p you were insisting on waiting for it to go into the 40's but it never did and now it's reached 70p despite the poor basket price and AISC margin. I hope not too many people were put off investing because of your doom and gloom. This is a well run and managed company with positive cash generation and a pile of cash despite the current low basket price.. think of the opportunities and the potential share price when PGM's start rising again.

Excellent news, great to hear about the progress. Looking forward to trying the first liquid from Ardgowan. Would be great if they could get it on supermarket shelves with our RedLeg rum and I'm convinced our distinctive Blavod Black Vodka would look good on UK shelves too.
