RE: Oliviera will now need to lower his selling price12 Dec 2021 23:40
Boonco it won't take is much to get to £3 a share or £500m mcap, as we need this just to catchup with our peers. However to even bag again from those levels will need serious results, which will take years not months. If given the option to take £3 now or POTENTIALLY £5-£8 in 3-5 years which is realistically going to the top end of any buyout taking into account any further dilution, then taking the cash now is a no brainer. You say dilution is not a bad thing, but pre Blautix we were trading at £1.80 or £232m mcap, today that is equal to £1.28. If we went back up to £232m tommorow all LTHs will be a wopping 52p a share worst off than last year, regardless of the fact of their entry was lower than the £1.10 placing. You need to take this into account, rather than looking at a larger mcap upon sale. It doesn't make sense if you're going to end up less per share, regardless of higher price in 3-5 years.
Also is it really worth holding another 5 years for an extra 100% or so gain?? You also have to factor in the risks of holding (sector crash, market sentiment, bad trial results) all of which we have seen this year, plus the opportunity cost of cash tied up.
If you take your gains elsewhere and compound 50-100% every year, it leaves your pot much higher than any potential exit at 4D anyway. This is't going to hit the crazy highs like some of you believe, it will get taken out way before then. As has already been said many times the current investors will never see the full upside of this, as the likes of Merck will have ling taken it out whilst it's cheap.
