With recent slamming of sp down to 586, PE now an undemanding 13.66, Dividend next year estimated at 3.5%. I reduced 50% recently, but still hold a good chunk in my PEP. Actually looking quite attractive in some ways though dark cloud of property crash hangs over the company. I'll believe Savills is affected by property downturn when I see it until then I'll hold on to my reduced holding.

other iva firms up in sympathy (e.g. DETS) after these great results:- LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Debtmatters Group PLC, a provider of Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs), posted a jump in full-year pretax profit for the year ended March 31, boosted by significant growth in its IVA business and the successful integration of its secured loan brokerage. The company's pretax profit more than trebled to 8.6 mln stg versus 2.6 mln last year while turnover jumped to 29.8 mln stg from 7.8 mln. Sales for the IVA business grew 141 pct to 18.1 mln stg from 7.8 mln last year and profits from continuing IVA operations for the same period rose to 7 mln stg from 2.6 mln stg. In a statement, non-executive chairman Noel Guilford said the group is well positioned to continue its momentum and added that 'significant' opportunities exist for the group. Fair play storm. Looks like you sold around the recent peak? My view on uranium is v. long term. I'm thinking 10 years rather than this year. A few of the major holdings in GCL have dropped recently so you may have played it correctly. Also US dollar seems to be holding up against sterling which will devalue some of the fund in GBP terms. (sorry to steer GLA thread off topic to GCL).

hemehem - there's a well managed fund called Geiger Counter you can buy on the London International Exchange (Epic: GCL). It's run by New City Investment Managers. Results out in July. Major holdings (39%) are Paladin, Wild Horse, Nufcor, Energy Resources of Australia and SXR Uranium One. It holds shares in a range of Uranium companies - explorers, producers, traders etc.. I hold these at the moment (have been swing trading this share). The shares have been very volatile due to uncertainty due to the "russian factor" - whether IEC will run into the same problems as Shell or TNK-BP. Panmure Gordon has re-iterated a sell rating even after being wrong about the outcome of the Mitlov debacle. Other brokers have issued Buy ratings. Long term I am bullish but may choose to take profits at 1300 or so again because I suspect during the coming few months the market will be continue to be turbulent.

if the analysts and brokers always got it right then they wouldn't be analysts and brokers - they'd be rich and retired early!

I had a 2 month trial with TDwaterhouse with zero commission trades. During that time I could daytrade with no costs. I suspect our 8 share merchant is on a similar free trial - or alternatively, has lost his mind.

thushara - sad to see this. AIM is a harsh mistress where punishment and reward doled out without apparent justification.

I also sold out of LNG a while back at a minor loss. The markets are a bit funny at the moment. FTSE rebound but plenty of downward movement on many AIM stocks in my watchlist today and in my portfolio. LNG will most probably get re-rated within 12 months, but until there's sign of an upward trend I will continue to remain on the sidelines. It's horrible crystallising losses, partly because psychologically you force yourself to confront the fact that the decision to go long at the time was a mistake. Good luck to all in these turbulent times....

Taken profit and sold entire holding. In the light of 5 days of consecutive falls, I am happy to bank a profit of almost 20%. Many thanks to you fourteenhundred. I will continue to monitor this stock for future developments.
