As I've said before AIM/small caps are much like the wild west/casino.
The management is not the best,they oversee companies who can afford what they can afford.
They get away with treating investors as they do with poor communication,cash calls with jam tomorrow smoke and mirrors.
They manage to get away with it because the lacklustre regulations and poor FCA oversight allows it.

Yes,shares can go up as well as down.
You do due diligence.
You invest what you can afford to lose.
You hope to make a profit.
With small caps,the gains and loses can be large.

As previously stated,investing in AIM/ small caps is like wild west.
You/we may well have been duped,but maybe not,time will tell.
At all levels of stocks and shares the advice is only invest what you can afford to lose.
As of now DKE are failing to succeed in their area of business during an energy crisis,NNN failed in the mask business during a pandemic,many miners and explorers are sitting on assets unable to realise any value.
It is a waiting game with probably a binary outcome.
Investors will either succeed or learn a harsh lesson.

It boils down to,investing in AIM/small cap entities is akin to a casino.
The managers/directors are at this level for a reason.

We can feel hard done too or still optimistic but either way it's us the investors who put ourselves in the predicament.

It's not unreasonable to be frustrated but you have to decide how much patience you can live with.
The sector the company is looking to get into could be very beneficial in the coming months/years.
It has a low market cap and high ambitions and share price movement can go at a pace - up or down.
How does it compare to your other investments - is it a major part?.risky part?.loss making part?.
Can you find something better to put your money?
If yes,than do it.
If no,then afraid you'll have to cope with frustration and patience a bit longer.

Reckon most people will have sold up before they get the chance to exercise the options.

I think the flask has fallen off the table and they are presently picking up bits of glass.
