I'm shocked.... just bought a big old chunk 61 and got in 15% lower than 3 days ago. that's the way to do it. sorry about smugness but it feels good.

wouldn't worry about the % short - it's super low and does really matter. always going to have shorters of a ftse company. I've been short on this and I am a know nothing PI and my short got closed and cost me £4k! if I'd let it run it'd be up though :(

when that goes I think it p**ps itself all the way down to 2800 and takes World markets with it.

I knid of hope it doesn't break yet because I still have positions I want to close into cash....

elkarter - to be fair, 'grasping at' and 'clutching at' straws are both commonly used versions of the idiom.

talented - yes exactly. ignore valhalla, he's basic af.

preefty - absolutely agree. shares don't go up, or down, in straight lines. and you've got to get comfortable taking profit. holding and holding is fine especially if you get a good price or are inexperienced but otherwise take some risk off at your target price. just set up an order to sell and forget about it

no not back in yet. just think it's important to look at both sides.

I still have chunk in pension but nothing else.

valhalla..... I mean that is a very silly post. come on! bad q2 results apply to every share and are absolutely priced in. q3 too probably. amateur hour.

preefty - yeah I know but don't be too ****y because the share has fallen 7% today... and people have literally got your shares cheaper today.... so.....

let's see. while I think this goes down - it has more support than you realise. I have been surprised a number of times. Big instis have this at 65-70 so you may find it more robust and less susceptible to retail panic than you think.

dunnie - remember that less than a month ago it was sub 55p....and slightly over a month ago it was in the 40s....

ftse sub 6000 and we see low 50s nailed on.

so it's down to whether or not ftse sinks. I think it will.

dunnieboy - answer me this: how comfortable do you feel with your buy at 65.65? if you're comfortable - great. if not, then you understand my point!

dunnie - not trying to call the bottom as I have no idea. the bottom could be 40p or 65p for all I know.

BUT my Opinion is that sentiment has shifted both on wider market and AML and that there is big downside with little up over the coming weeks.

my suspicion is that there will be some serious red this week and that AML has lost its momentum and that 60p is pretty easy to see happening.

if I'm wrong and markets buck up then bounce to 70 will be quick.

if I'm right then AML is a share that moves quickly in both directions - up and down....

opened big leveraged ftse long at 6157 so hoping it now rebounds.....

literally no serious trader takes candles seriously....

is there anything happening on the horizon? feels like it's just going to run out of cash in 3 years time and die?

been lazy on this share and want to know whether to cut and run or increase holding. my suspicion is increase holding as it really moves when it gets going....

I think us futures will tank into open and things could get uglier for ftse and here... probably not 60 today but 62/63. if you're looking to top up, this week could be good.

yeah but it shouldn't be that if people think that this is going south that it all gets into a sagging match - it should be a reasoned debate. short or long you're entitled to opinion. but too many on here who are just unpleasant.
