usually when I tell people I've taken my profit, you get shot down and called a de-ramper!

I'm sure that there is a lot of upside here and, as I say, if it does drop back,I'll get back in.

I am always a bit nervous with these small shares NOT because I doubt their potential but rather because I know they will inevitably fu** up or hit a stumbling block at some point and it's usually two steps forward, one back.

Look at SOLG - great company with HUGE potential but out of nowhere they push back their mine by 8 months and boom, sp down 30%.

This could very easily get good news and hit 10p but there's always the flip side - the risk that some. unexpected bad news comes out.

SO - I take my profits when they come even though I suspect this probably sees 7p before 5 again....

I put an order in to top up at 20.5 and it never filled!

warthog sorry you're absolutely right - I read some idiot on advfn say it and didn't check for myself. UT trade.

Couldn't resist but am pretty sure I've got out too early! £12k profit in a couple of months was too much to resist.

Am hoping for a drop back to 5 at which point I'll fill my boots again.

GLA holders - I see 10p here at some point this year. But hopefully a small retrace soon! :)

I am lucky enough to have had a good job for a while now and I make good money which I have invested wisely. I have also been doing this since I was very young, 19 or so and have got quite good at it.

But I'm not a professional and I am definitely prone to being emotional/sounding amateurish.

My trading decisions are pretty instinct-driven although I do have long-term 'safe' investments which I'm much more rigorous in managing with set limits etc.

What I've learnt with smaller shares is to get out while the going's good so ultimately, although I am p*ssed at missing out a continued rise, my brain is telling me that there is, of course, risk here and that 100% profit is too good not to bank.

Emotions aside, I do also now genuinely think that this is overbought and that we will see 80 again before news. That is just my opinion based on chart and the fact of profit-taking. I also think that we are due a market correction at any moment - huge asset bubble has been building and it will burst at some point and so we may have a market shock soon which will hit all shares, good and bad.

Really not sure what you guys are waiting for..... news of what? Sentencing of a guy who has long since left the company?

As if they will announce anything to do with PFC for ages....

Some people on here are so naive it shocks me. No wonder so many people lose money investing.

I didn't sell in one tranche. Nor did I buy in one tranche. I always scale in and out.

I bought at 44ish, 45ish, 54ish and then sold at 83, 84 and 89 in two chunks.

As I say, filtered.

Nervousness in PI's driving the price down. But...the market has already priced in a pretty hefty negative outcome so anything other than significant sanctions will see this rocket.

I think this will turn very very quickly pretty soon when everyone realises that SFO judgement on PFC is probably years away if ever.

Wyndrym - 100% agree that this is the right philosophy and yes, you're right, I bagged c.£50k and only held for a few months so that's good.

And I am naturally someone who sees everything pretty short term.

However, it's still painful missing out on profit!

Yes - it's a very complex share to predict, especially given all the placing stuff floating around and the gov. involvement.

Keep an eye on PRD - if it drops back to 5ish to buy, I'd get in. I think you've still got time to get a better entry before it goes boom but keep it on your watchlist.
