I spoke to a manager over the weekend and he said it's tough trading right now they hardly ever hit targets and at the conference it was mentioned they are in there overdraft slightly but nothing to worry about as they have a 2 billion overdraft. Next 2 months are huge I feel. I still think it's the model under threat as they need high volumes to hit add on targets and network bonuses. GLA

I was hoping for a rise this morning but when I read the target price 1.80 I read what they had previously said. I think it was but at 4.05 or 4.50 last year. I am not at that price but can you imagine. Is 1.50 the barrier

I agree it's the model under threat if I take my local town they have 6 car phone warehouses within 10 miles. 2 The company doesn't make that much profit on a phone it's all about volume, it's the volume they need to hit targets from the networks. As soon as they don't hit these that affects them big time. 3 yes they are a middleman selling 3 networks but to me if one network goes they will all go. 4 At the top all car phone men have left so now struggling with a business they don't have a feel for never a good sign 5 what we forget is Charles has stepped away from the business on a daily basis that is a warning in itself. If it can come through this though 150 is cheap it's just if it can.

The days of just selling white goods and being successful is over the Internet has seen to that. The only company who could want to buy dc is amazon if they wanted a retail presence but do they.

We will probably hear some news from the managers who attend the conference over the next few days. I would say though it's the model that's under threat if it was something and nothing surely we would have heard something. As cpw market share is under pressure they make tariffs cheaper which impacts profits, if they dont hit the numbers they lose out on bonuses from the networks. The networks think do we need a middle man this big and powerful.

I believe all the managers are in London for 3 days this week at a conference, we may hear something after you never know

I went into my local car phone to upgrade my wife's phone on Saturday. The shop was very busy.... the companies systems where down they could not sell phones on Saturday for a few hours must have hurt them... disaster. I spoke to the manager who told me it would be 120 pounds to do an early upgrade but could I pop back in an hour or two. I was happy to wait, i had a coffee but my wife rang the network who said they would waver the 120 if we bought from them direct and didn't go back to car phone The market is changing.

Car phone do own a lot of online companies not just there own website but If the problem is retail you have all the short term costs with a reatructure. I agree it's quiet from the top either he will come up in December and say no need to panic or its a's bad as the share price

Just be careful with it, no doubt it's a good seller the queues will probably be for people who have bought it already. The only thing I would warn against is how relevant cpw is, are the queues outside cpw? Or apple? Or 02. Until the bigger question gets answered it's a hold I would say, but good luck all if get in at the bottom well done. Still feel bigger questions need answering.

Share price drop last few days has someone seen or heard half year figures 😐. I keep going on about it but nothing will change while middle management stays the same. Maybe seb has to go for someone to make the changes or Charles comes back. I still think it's very cheap to buy in, if you see a long term future for cpw. Thats the big question if not it's going lower. Is cpw still relevant on the scale it trades at.

I am down on DC, I agree they may have sold out today but how much stock do.they have and how many phones sold where just handsets not attached to contracts. I think the problem is if they don't sell enough phones surely they lose out on bonuses from the networks so it's not just the number. But agree the next 3 months are huge for the company

I still don't think seb is the problem it's the nature of the takeover. Seems all the top cpw managers have moved on, leaves dixons/p4u/ and outsiders running part of a business they don't understand. 180 is cheap and I bought in miles higher :(.The market has changed big time recently, do the networks still need cpw to be as big and powerful that's the question. Network deals are better than ever, sky have entered the market is the company still as relevant. Hope so
