direemblem,
"I never sell at a loss, and consider it one of my own life lessons"
More or less the first thing professional traders learn is exactly the opposite
Good News - Hurricane sp reacting to poo - I see this as a big positive
Mike,
Don't the free trading sites net all the transactions over a period and place one netted deal a day - in effect they make the spread on all the offsetting deals?
Td,
It's reasonable to suppose those most abusive toward you are those subconsciously worried you might be right
Dickie,
Yes a straight physical buy of shares, no back-to-back CFD short, although we may get a correction :-)
evan
there might be a load in the core, also there is an abundant mobile supply on the surface of the land - just need to strip off the carbon and oxygen....
but agreed probably most practical to get from water
gilen,
not much hydrogen in air, average H2 molecule has escape velocity...
NSN1,
where does that price of 12-14p come from?
Not up to speed on fundamentals but won't the bondholders just take the whole company in a dilutive deal if it's not sold - therefore distressed sale?
Genuine question I own 200k at 2.95p, would buy a lot more if there was even a chance of 12-14p, but would need some persuading
sammm,
you're being sarcastic aren't you!
I have a reasonable investment here - so always interested in the chat
sammm,
sorry to disappoint...
but for example I don't know why 2 + 2 = 5 because it doesn't
I do know a lot about commodity trading (specifically energy) because I have worked in energy trading for twenty years
I know a lot of traders, some who act as MMs, but my knowledge specifically of share trading and commercial MMs is not great, so I challenge when I know something, otherwise I ask questions -and sometimes ppl tell me something I didn't know
But I'm afraid MMs are not the mystical all-powerful super-beings most PIs on BBs make them out to be. they are ruthless and cut-throat, I'm not convinced they would do any favours for anyone but themselves, but they can mess around with prices to fill orders, where they take the cut not their client
sammm
It was an honest question - I don't know because I see no reason why they would
"Mms love to stop the momentum"
why?
PP
Sure, but why?
I thought 911 was a code for Porsches all round...
ljm
I'm a bit dubious about the codes - the theory is all comms from trading floors are recorded and if there is any "suggestion" of manipulation then the recordings can be investigated
But even that sounds dubious itself....
HS, Dickie,
I'm just waiting for Sharpeye to wade in with a load of abuse because I'm de-ramping again....
Peter
"Mm’s appear determined to hold us down"
I know statements like this are very popular amongst PIs on BBs, but think about it just for a moment:
why would they want to do that?
how would they do that?
The answers are:
No reason - they make money on volume - not price
They can't over a period of more than about an hour - sure they can drag the price up and down for a short period to suit their needs, but if there really was a buying sentiment that they are trying to suppress they'd just be selling shares at a discount, and running up a large negative position because no-on would be selling to them
Thebhoys
You're ok!
FWIW I still have the 200k shares I bought at 2.95 - something tells me that CA rarely get it wrong - but we still seem to be going down. I'll join you for a drink on the stern while we wait for this to take off!
Thebhoys
I really do hope this works out for you, but at the moment you sound like someone standing on the last few bits of The Titanic that are still above water, proclaiming that the facts and figures says this ship will not sink and will bounce back up again...
AK,
I know you don't agree but for me the biggest idiocy was Trice
Everyone agreed Basement oil works round the World - but not for Hurricane - only he can take the blame for this through his incompetence and breathtaking arrogance that he knew better than Shell and BP and made a monumental $%^& up of the whole thing
Friends
Agree that is best course of action. They normally reverse the transaction immediately and wait for retailer to prove they are right, which they can't...
B4s, Ian
Here's what CAB recommends to send to retailer about an item that develops fault in first six months
"Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods should be of a satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. My rights have been breached because the item you sold me is faulty/doesn't match the description.
I would like a repair or replacement.
If you can't offer me either of these in a reasonable time, I would like a discount or refund."
